Yes catwoman, I hope it is Miss Red 2008. I remember her well and thought at the time, that she would never fledge properly. 2008 is the first year that I watched Harrisburg so I didn't know Yellow Boy 2005 or Red Girl 2006 but can only imagine how wonderful it must be to see a falcon that you watched grow up, thriving and raising a family of their own. Thanks Jane for the info.

2008 was my first year watching falcons & those juvies were very entertaining. I feel closer to them than I did this year's juvies cause they spent more time on the ledge, as opposed to this year's juvies spending a good bit of their time on the new building.

Just catching up. Lots of good news all around. Thanks to all who are posting here with sightings.Mom looks good on the ledge. So nice to hear of people everywhere watching the skies. Wilmington DE has a competition going on with 3 falcons. An intruder has come into the nest area. A large article the other week in our newspaper. They have had their troubles there.

Oh, an intruder falcon often means bad news for one of them, for in the falcon world, two's company, but three's a crowd. Hope none of that spells bad news for one of the birds. Not sure how many years ago, but I had heard there was a rival female here in Harrisburg, but Mom drove it off.

Wow, this is the first time in ages that I've looked at the web site and actually saw Mom on the stick. It's a little before 4:00 right now. Temps here are in the mid 40s. Seems balmy!

Hello everyone! Would like to say a big MERRY CHRISTMAS! I can not thank you enough for your postings about the birds this year. I've watch and read the posts for several years now and this past year due to some health problems had to rely on them and the pictures everyone posted. I won't name names for fear of omitting one, but each of you contribute so much and it really helps some of us keep up. This is a very special forum and I appreciate being able to check in and see our beautiful birds.

I hope you all have a very enjoyable holiday and the best New Year ever!
Barb
PS I'd like to contribute to keeping this up if you'll let me know what you need from each one. :wavingsnowgirl:

When I was coming home yesterday, I think I saw a falcon. 81 north by the Cameron St. overpass. Maybe it was lil Dad. That's in the area of Wildwood Park. He landed on the tressel of the second overpass. Just a guess it may have been him.

I WOULD LIKE TO THINK IT WAS LIL DAD TOO, BUT I WOULD THINK IF HE WAS THAT CLOSE TO HERE, WE WOULD HAVE SEEN HIM AROUND HERE TOO SOMETIME. COULD HAVE BEEN MOM MAYBE.
