Yes, there still are people up there working on the cams and the connection. Connection stopped a few times but so far it came back just fine. So I'm very hopeful.

By the sound of it it is now raining heavily over there. No people on the roof. I can't wait for Pa and S2 show up on the "fence cam ".

This is one of my "all time favourites" from 2006:

Updated translation of an announcement from the new web cam team:

On November 15, Roel, Gerrit and Piet have worked on the cams in the Tower. Also a thorough exchange of knowledge took place.
Gerrit and Piet are now officially in charge of the web cams and supporting equipment.

The audio is disconnected for now. Lambert Cox re-claimed everything he donated in 2008, so all was dismantled and will be returned to him.
The support for the disk of the wireless connection was also re-claimed by him. Fortunately the disk could be mounted to a part of the structure of the tower and we have not lost the connection from the tower to the college in Gemert.
As soon as possible new audio equipment will be purchased and installed.

The team can also announce that the realisation of a foundation is getting closer to finalisation. This will give legal status to the ownership of the web cams and supporting equipment and the remaining total from your donations.
It will cost some money to register the foundation and then there are the costs for the new audio.
So we would like you to make another donation to achieve these goals.
For now we will use the bank account 617866120 in the name of B. Lodeizen at Houten
IBAN: NL86ABNA0617866120
BIC: ABNANL2A

Once the foundation is active we may have a new bank account number. You will be notified immediately if and when that happens.

The treasurer wrote:

Ik ben met Roel tot finale afrekening gekomen, heb totaal nog € 434,33
aan hem overgemaakt, op 28-10 en 1-11.
Kosten voor o.a Centrifugaal 125 ventilator, luchtfilter, railset, etc. Dit alles om
de vliegen buiten de serverkast te houden.

€1145,50 -
€ 434,33 - payment to Roel
_______________________ -
€ 711,17
€ 25,00 - new donation
_____________ +
€ 736,17 - new total

Cloud has made a final payment to Roel. This was for things that went into the cabinet in which the computers and other stuff are now housed.
Including a fan for better cooling and an air filter, to keep the hundreds of flies away from the computers.

For a picture of the cabinet

The cam on the opposite side of the ledge is working now ... but the other one is out. Don't see anyone home at the moment.

Only that two cams work at this moment Patti.
They are testing the cams.

Piet & Gerrit112 were today on top of the tower (127 meter high) while Pa sat quietly on the antenna 8-)

Hello ljames Image
I am very happy to see you again !

Gerrit send me a few movies from Pa from today.
It was very windy at the tower, so I had to cut & paste a lot and I removed the noise.
I've added sound of the Snelle Loop.

Thanks for the video marjanne and to Gerrit too. Pa is too sweet and alert to everything. Nice video, complete with a takeoff and even a poop shot.

That light/heater he is sitting on gives off warmth doesn't it? I know that some time ago Froona explained what they were, but I've forgotten. :?
