If you have "Summer time/DST enabled in you profile, THEN you may or may not have to play around with the time...that's the only thing I can think of...I don't have mine enabled, so I'm not sure..

If you DON'T have DST enabled THEN for you East Coasters, Set your time at UTC-5. If you DO have it enabled, then um, er,hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....I'd have to play around with it to find out...

Thanks, Reenie, for the tip on changing the time. I had never changed mine so it's now correct at Mountain Standard time.

Well, I'm not sure if my time is right or not, but we'll see. Decided to spin downtown late this afternoon. Got down there around 4:15, and not a falcon in sight. Was up on the Chestnut Street Garage roof for half an hour or so, and headed into the Amtrak Station to warm up a bit. Returned to the roof in time to hear the church bells strike 6, so they're still on DST. Was about to give up, when both falcons put in an appearance. Little Dad on the point, and NG on the window above the nest ledge right at the corner. She circled out, and it looked like she landed on the roof of the Carson Building along the Aberdeen side. Little Dad circled around and landed on the window ledge right around the corner from the nest ledge. NG took off out over the State Street Bridge, and I couldn't see where she went. Shortly afterwards Little Dad returned to the point, where there were some leftovers. Was watching this blizzard of Crows over on the roof of Forum Place, and when I looked back at the point, Little Dad was gone. He didn't come to a louver ledge behind 333. Left about 5:30, and am still thawing out! I have no clue where NG roosts at night, but this is the latest I've seen her. Looked at the window ledge around the corner from the nest ledge before hopping in my car, but didn't see any falcons sitting there.

Good report Jane. Thank you. I bet it was cold. Especially on the roof top. Glad you got to see them. Chuckled about the clock chiming. I'm so into that clock!!! Any clock for that matter. Wonder where they roost. Mom was like "clock work" , (sorry) When it came to roosting. Dad too, but he has different idea's now I guess. Any way, hope you warm up soon. Have to adjust to the time change. Feels later than it is.

Thanks Jane for the nice report. I'm so glad they made an appearance for you. :-) They were probably like, oh look, there's Jane, let's fly around a bit for her.

Yep, it's getting colder every day, stay warm, and thanks for going down.

Well, everyone's messages are showing DSTs on my computer. The Crows were still flying all over the place when I left down there, so perhaps Little Dad did come to a louver ledge after I went home.

THANKS FOR THE REPORT JANE. I'M SO GLAD THEY SHOWED UP EVEN FOR A SHORT TIME FOR YOU :-)

LIKE I SAID BEFORE, SOMEDAY I'M GOING TO TRY TO GET OVER THERE TO CHECK THE LOUVERS BEFORE WORK, ONLY PROBLEM IS, SOME LEDGES MAY NOT BE LIT AND I WON'T BE ABLE TO SEE AT THAT TIME. IT'S KINDA CREEPY WALKING OVER THERE THAT EARLY IN THE MORNING AND ALL THE HOMELESS PEOPLE STILL HANGING AROUND CUDDLED IN BLANKETS, BUT SOME MORNING I'LL BRAVE IT JUST TO CHECK THOSE LOUVERS. I WONDER IF THEY WILL BE BACK TO EARLIER NOW SINCE 7AM WILL REALLY BE 6AM AGAIN. I KNOW MY CATS WANTED THEIR TREATS EXACTLY AN HOUR EARLIER THAN I USUALLY GIVE THEM TO THEM TONITE. BUT THEN AGAIN, THEY WERE RIGHT ON SCHEDULE REALLY.

Be careful Reenie. Do they leave droppings on the louvers? As far as cats go, ours wanted to be fed an hour earlier too. Dad and NG are on their same routine, I guess,as they don't know anything about clocks.

I didn't even think about it at the time (duh), but my one cat was driving me crazy at 8:30 (walking all over me, walking on my keyboard, etc.). Didn't realize til you mentioned it that he thought it was actually past time (9 p.m.) for him to get wet food!

SOMEONE WAS ON THE POINT EARLY, COULDN'T TELL WHO THOUGH. I THINK THEY WERE PICKING AT THE LEFTOVERS UP THERE, THEN THEY WERE GONE. THEY ARE DEFINATELY ON THEIR OLD SCHEDULE NOW THAT IT'S LIGHTER EARLIER AGAIN.

Thanks Reenie for the early morning report. Nature doesn't need "time pieces" to live by, do they? We could learn from that sometimes.

Edit: YEAH! from me too!!! Now to get on with the day!
