NG IS ON THE WINDOWSILL AROUND THE CORNER FROM THE LEDGE. I GUESS SHE'S TRYING TO BLOCK SOME OF THIS WIND. DIDN'T SEE LIL DAD, MAYBE HE'S ON THE LOUVERS? I'LL CHECK AT LUNCHTIME. ALSO A SET OF WINGS ON THE POINT FLAPPING AROUND IN THE WIND. CAN'T TELL WHAT KIND OF BIRD THEY WERE FROM THOUGH.

NOBODY ON THE LOUVERS. NG NOW MOVED FROM THE WINDOWSILL AND IS ON THE CAM ABOVE THE SCRAPE! ALMOST DIDN'T SEE HER THERE, BUT COULD SEE HER FROM ACROSS THE STREET WHEN I WENT TO CHECK THE LOUVERS. I THINK THE COLUMN BLOCKS SOME OF THE WIND THERE ON THAT CAM PERCH.

THOUGHT LIL DAD SHOWED UP, HEARD NG TALKING UP THERE, LOOKED UP AND SHE WAS ON THE STICK, BUT DIDN'T STAY LONG, SHE FLEW BACK UP TO THE CAM PERCH ABOVE THE SCRAPE. WONDER IF THE WIND BLEW HER DOWN?

SURE DOES LOOK LIKE SHE HAS A SNACK AND MAKING A MESS AGAIN! HOPEFULLY THE WIND WILL GET RID OF SOME OF THAT, BUT IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE HELPING ALOT. WISH LIL DAD WOULD SHOW UP AGAIN. IF I HADN'T SEEN BOTH THIS MORNING, I'D BE WORRIED :roll:

HE FLEW OFF WITH WHAT WAS LEFT AND NG WAS GIVING HIM HECK. HE WAS CIRCLING IN FRONT OF THE LEDGE WITH FOOD DANGLING TRYING TO DECIDE WHERE TO LAND WHEN I HAD TO GO.

I do believe that female falcons rule the roost. Nice and sunny here today, but quite breezy. We are in for a warm-up this week. Bring it on!

GREAT reports today Reenie and pictures. She has such a sweet face. Would love to have seen Lil Dad with that food senario. The wind was bad today.

FYI: National Geographic's "Great Migrations -- Feast or Famine" will include peregrine falcons in its November 14th episode that airs at 8:00 p.m. EST. Here is part of the description:

"In the Mississippi River Valley, we find a great winged highway humming with traffic as bald eagles, peregrine falcons, ducks, songbirds, geese and pelicans search for food in this avian crossroads between the Gulf of Mexico and Canada or even the Arctic."

Thanks Susan...I watched this past Sunday's episode (had to divert my eyes a couple of times)...but overall it was spectacular...and just amazing!!! I thought there would be something about the PF, since they have a PF in a teaser...I just didn't know when that episode would be aired...

It's been pretty windy here today and still is!

Got caught up from the past few days of posting. I'm glad your trip downtown didn't go unrewarded Jane, and that you saw both falcons. I also enjoyed the close-up pics from today, Reenie!

DIDN'T SEE NG YET, BUT FOUND LIL DAD ON TOP OF THE GLASS ENCLOSURE AT THE TOP OF THE BLDG. HE WAS WATCHING FOR FOOD. TOOK OFF DOWN MARKET ST IN FRONT OF THE UNIVERSITY AND MISSED WHATEVER HE WAS AFTER. THEN HE WENT BACK TO GLASS ENCLOSURE, TRIED AGAIN UP MARKET ST WITH NO SUCCESS. WENT BACK TO GLASS ENCLOSURE AND THEN TOOK OFF OVER 5TH ST GARAGE. THAT TIME, HE CAME BACK WITH SOMETHING SMALL AND IS UP THERE EATING IT RIGHT NOW.
