OK, I'm FINALLY adding a comment/reply (my 2 cents worth) on the Wilmington website (even though this is 1 of the 10 BCAW sites that I have watched/monitored EVERY DAY since I signed up back in early January of 2010). Now, don’t laugh because I am being completely honest when I write this (and I KNOW all of you will understand and can relate!!!!!). It's hard enough that I have the Lansing (Michigan) Board of Water and Light's (LBWL) peregrine falcons webcams that I can view and refresh every 15 minutes (plus the live feeds that Dina Maneval, a.k.a., Lansing's "falcon lady" Blesses me with), but I've got a fellow State Employee that monitors, follows, takes pictures of and reports on a pair of red tailed hawks that have nested in downtown Lansing for the past handful of years, which 2 years ago I started watching and following faithfully/daily/regularly. Now, mind you, this part is up close and personal including one instance (of many) where the adult male red tailed hawk landed 5 inches from my big toe (after it flew directly over my head and shoulder) and snagged/captured a chipmunk right in front of me), and then there's the WONDERFUL and SPECTACULAR BCAW website to peek at as often as I can. To make a long story short and with the above being said (written), I can promise you, I would never get any real (what I'm being paid for) work done if I had a nest of any sort right outside of my window. So, KUDOS to you Greg (and anyone else who has a nest site within viewing distance of their office) and a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who contributes to each of the BCAW websites (no matter how big or how small the contribution is). None of us could do this on our own and enjoy as much variety, details, play-by-play (day-by-day), of all the different species, different cities, etc., if it weren’t for the collaborative effort, and drive (AND LOVE) of all of these beautiful creatures we have been blessed with.
