No nest at my office, just a feeding post, and maybe only a onetime post at that. I can look out my window at the nest and see the birds a few blocks away. That's distraction enough, along with the cam.

Christine - Good to see your post here.

Greg - I think if I were working at your office, I'd be looking out the windows all the time, hoping to see a falcon fly by.

I'd be looking too, as we already watch the skies up the river from Wilmington. It's hard not to keep watching.

One of them is in the box now, at the lower left of the image. My guess is CJ.

Looking out my office window I can see one of the falcons perched on the box ledge.

They've been conducting a woodpecker survey in the past week: flickers, red-bellies and a sapsucker.

Oh My!! When I see the woodpeckers in our yard, I think how lucky they are to be here. Can't fault our dear Falcon's. They are what what they are. Beautiful, no matter what they eat.

Possibly blue jay. A falcon tail feather looks similar.

Two more flickers this morning. One for Red Girl and one for CJ?

Forty minutes ago Red Girl was on the logo on the Wilmington Trust tower overlooking Rodney Square. She was on the southwest face of the building, out of the northeast wind and rain.

Noticed the feather is no longer visible. Either the winds or their housekeeping!

Greg - Thanks for all the live, in-person reports of sightings and meal leftovers! I haven't seen either CJ or Red Girl at the nest box in ages, so it's nice to hear from you that they're still around.

It's getting past migration time for peregrines, at least the arctic ones, so hopefully both birds will stick around all winter. CJ's parents did. It's safer than flying to strange places, and would let them get an early start on renewing their vows in late winter.

One of the falcons was on the box ledge and the other on a nearby ledge when I left town this evening.
