YIPPEE...great, Catwoman!!!

Well, she's gone...I'm wondering if the cam is broadcasting at a slower rate...and that's why I'm getting such blurred (yet interesting) stills off the streaming...hmmmmmmm

Here's the trick (figured this out several weeks ago..) If you want to post a YT vid here, first click on the "Share" button (located under the video)...a code will be generated. That's the code you use to post here (if you're gonna use the above YT button....) Hope that helps...

By the sound of the voice, I'd say Durand was the first one there...

Edit: I'll have to go listen again, but I think I only hear Durand vocalizing...

The videos and pictures from today have been invaluable for trying to identify this second falcon. In Arles' morning video, the two were bowing and there was no swaying, but then Trooper's swaying was more evident when he was in the box and cornered. I feel this second falcon was flapping and backing away from Durand as most males seem to do when a big female approaches. (Edit: Plus he was balancing in his tippy-toes on the very edge.)

As for voice, this second falcon made a couple of "hup hup" sounds when he landed that didn't sound like Trooper's squeaks. (See SGB's video posted at 10:48 a.m. EST, at the 15 sec. mark.)

Mick, thanks for bringing forward some comparison photos and videos. Using those with ljames' pic from earlier, here's what I'm seeing: Look at the "sideburns" in these 3 pics. To me the Intruder and New Guy have the same shaped sideburn that curves down (Edit: and forward) to a point.

p.s. Mick, I've also had another cam up in the background and posted that I heard something on a completely different cam. Ah well, we are among friends here.

The reason I didn't think this is the new guy is all these specs on the intruder's chest. Compare this with Susan's last picture of the "new guy". I know that some of this can change with new feathers, but I don't think it would change this much. :-?

Well, I must say we are back to playing Falcon Detective!!! Ain't it grand!!! Trooper/intruder/visitor...the next days are gonna be very interesting!!! (wish I didn't have to go to work!!!)

Thanks to all of you for your observations, research, comparison pics, and opinions. They are invaluable as we try and piece all this together...if that's even possible... :think

I heard back from Donna, who has been out of the office. She's gonna check into the issue with the cams when she goes back tomorrow...and give all our pics a good once over!!!

What are the chances of possibly 3 unbanded falcons on this ledge!!!! :wildman:

Here is a video of Trooper from Oct 7th that I never published. I trimmed it this afternoon and uploaded it. It's long, but shows both sides of Trooper's face. Hope that it helps.

Thanks, Mick!

We could also find out that none of us is right, or maybe we'll never know, but I do enjoy playing detective--especially if it brings some stressed-out people a little hope!

Just saw your video, Mick--awww, sweet Trooper!
:flirty:
