You know I am kind of glad in a way that Froona is not around to witness this as no doubt it would have severely stressed her which she could never really afford with regard to maintaining her health ...

If she had been alive none of this would have happened. She would have kept the vultures away.

I am in shock. I cannot believe that people can be so small. We are all supposed to be here to share the love of these beautiful raptors.

I still remeber back to the season when S2 first came and Ma no more. We, all over the world came together and willed S2 to take the mother role.

We all have become ambassadors for these wonderful birds. and becasue of EGOS that are much too big for their own good, We loose a nest site that is dear to so many hearts
Shame on you all who have allowed this to happen.

I am so sorry Ingrid and all of those who have worked so hard to get these cams up an running as a show place for the world to see. One of the better ones in the world.

I will have to think for a bit and then send a few e-mails

BEV, I TOO REMEMBER THE SEASON OF S2 COMING IN ON MOTHERS DAY TO START CARING FOR THOSE YOUNG ONES. I WILL NEVER FORGET IT AND NEVER AGAIN WILL ANYONE BE ABLE TO SEE SUCH MIRACLES HAPPEN WITHOUT THOSE CAMS

I just keep reading this and I still cannot believe how a group can just form and then decide they can do whatever they want without giving any thought to anyone else.
this is how wars have started.

I thought the cams were above that kind of tactic. Very , deeply, troubled here :( :( :(

I sure hope we will still have people on the ground to observe and let us know what is happening.

Do these people not realize that it was these cams that literally put them on the world radar.

Pa and S2 will be okay, but it is the rest of us who will be devastated with this turn of events. We will be denied our love of watching nature in its purity and simplicity. I do not understand how or why intelligent and powerful people could not bring about a simple solution . . . to watch some birds on a camera and bring joy to the World . . . but I am holding out hope that they will. It would signal to the World how brilliant and compassionate they are.

So, if any of you key people are reading this . . . PLEASE PLEASE show us that you can make a real difference in the World by helping to bring us all together again.

Thank you.

I am totally amazed that they would do this. Money was put in to this and people got involved and were watching, now they just shut it off. The whole world is wondering why.
I was so looking forward to watching this site in the next few weeks and cannot fathom why you choose not to show it. A TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT TO ME AND THE REST OF THE VIEWERS THAT HAVE TUNED IN AND ENJOY AND APPRECIATE WATCHING THE FALCONS AT THIS NEST.

Well put Susan ... and yes, Pa and S2 will be fine without us watching them. It is we, as a community, who will lose out. In the last couple weeks I have seen first hand how over 60,000 people from all over the world came together to watch one black bear give birth to a cub. I watched the joy and sorrow of 2 Hummingbirds being born, and one dying ... along with thousands of other people from all over the world.

At DeMortel I watched as Ma disappeared, her eyases cold and hungry, Pa trying so desperately to keep them warm and fed ... I watched one of them die .... then I watched a literal miracle of another female entering the box and taking care of the 2 remaining chicks. There is no other way in the world to see such things except for these cams.

Each year ... each DAY thousands of people are finding the unique and amazing adventure of watching animals on the Internet. I've met and chatted with a few of them, they are like children learning things I thought everyone already knew!! It's amazing how ignorant society is be about simple animals. A new world has opened up for them!! Young children are seeing things, learning about animals, in a way most of us never had the chance to.

DeMortel, Alticom, Gemert ..... and others who shall remain nameless .... you are doing a great disservice, to the world.

PattiO and Susan :sfthumbs: :sfthumbs:

Could not have said it better.

I have learned so much through the cams and thought how wonderful a site deMortel was.

the other thing about the cams that has forgotten to be mentioned. When something goes wrong we can notify the proper authorities . Look how many eagles and falcons have been saved in the last few years because cam viewers were watching.

Even nature needs a helping hand in this crazy world today.

Me too bev. Ingrid hasn't even been on today. Where are you Ingrid!?! :(

I've been to angry to get my thoughts straight. We could start a petition (cough) but I don't know if it would do any good. If it was someplace in the US I think it would be easier but being that it's over the pond ... ???

I have a helpless feeling ... especially since in my heart of hearts I know these people don't care.

What a disappointment this is. I will surely miss watching this nest, especially at night when S2 is in there with her chicks maneuvering them around for hours. What a pleasure it was for me to watch.
And cannot forget Little Pa running in there to his babies to feed them or take his turn. (my 2nd favorite part) Well, anyway, I'm sure we all have our nice memories.

I am amazed how quickly somebody managed to screw this up for everyone, what, less than a year? I will not send an email as I have a thought that it would do no good whatsoever.

Hello all,
I placed this on Ingrid's forum today.
It's such a shame, such a big shame....... :|
These people don't know what they are doing. It's all about envy and power.
I'm so sorry......
