As to Pa's possible injury, in the first video that Marjanne posted, it was his right talon that he was curling up, & in the second video, it was the left one, so I'm hoping it isn't an injury... :?

Wow that could be DEF. They need to get her box ready so that she'll stop looking at S2's. Poor little thing looked very nervous about being there, but determined to check it out.

Thanks for the video of Pa Zwiersje. He looked ok. You know, it's a dangerous existence these falcons have. Any given day could bring disaster.

Thanks for all today's coverage. Looks like they are getting ready or thinking about it anyway. I wonder what they are thinking as they are standing in the nestbox. Are they remembering last year's babies or just checking for leftover scraps in there. You know, animals do remember things years and years later. Oh, I learned a new word the other day. Anthropomorphic - ascribing human characteristics to non-human things, including animals. Guilty here.

If I had a wish it would be that all our urban falcons had a site like this. I wish we could work on it. :sfwand:

I am the worst one for giving birds and animals human characteristics . I always say , how do they know that they do not think like we do. ;) ;) ;)

Thanks marjanne. Always amazing to watch. And thanks to Gerrit. Does Gerrit live nearby to the tower and able to go there and film?

Oh my word, I am so confused. Is S2 the only one in the box eating the rocks? Who is on the platform and who flies down to chase them off?

Is this the same strange bird as before or is this a new threat?
I guess this is the time of year when the battles over territories goes on. :(

45 minutes is not so far, but with the ground and roads covered with snow and ice much of the time :o . We really appreaciate his efforts and love for the falcons.
:sfclap:

That stranger couldn't be Ma, could it? Cause her body was never found (as far as I know) & it was just speculated that S2 killed her. Maybe she's recovered enough from her injuries now that she's thinking about trying to get Pa & her nest back...probably just wishful thinking. :?

Oh catwoman, I hadn't even thought of that. The band numbers could have been her's, right? Or did I understand the info wrong?

Oops, sometimes I get so involved in the story that I forget to thank the tellers. We wouldn't know anything if not for you guys sharing with us. :thanku

Dorine (from Piet) knows a lot about Ma.
I'm sure if it's Ma Dorine told us directly ;)
