I am here for just a few minutes and then will write a final report with picutres, I hope next week.

Our falcons have flown the coup.

Clinical Science
Peter and I thought ,by her actions, that MOnday night would be her swan song. It was just so quiet and when she flew to her night spot, it was direct and to the point. Peter said she was waiting for us to come home. She looked strong and beautiful. We checked Tuesday and Wednesday , but no sign of her . I always shed tears at this point. We never know who will be back.
I will post some picutres not seen and a final sumary next week. It is our Thanksgiving this weekend and I am very busy with that and getting my yard ready for winter.

WEber

the last we saw of MIss Edmonton and her man was on Tuesday at 4:45. Miss Edmonton was on the W of Weber and the male was on the R of Centre. They were so still and quiet. We left to check University and just a s we left at 5:15 I noticed Miss Edmonton had gone. The male was still there. We came back at 6:50 and there ws no sign of anyone. We stayed till dark and then we went back Wednesday. no one was there. stayed till dark again.
I wish I had stayed on Tuesday and seen them off. but we did go up on parkade roof, right below them. I took a few shots and teared up again. With the transmitter gone, I will not be able to follow her. This is my girl, my first falcon.

I will write a report with picutres next week here also

God speed my feathered friends. safe journey.

Sorry your falcons are gone, Bev. Hopefully, the Winter will pass quickly & they'll be back before you know it!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks for that report, bev. It must be bittersweet knowing you won't be able to track Miss Edmonton, but also knowing she will be so much freer to fly like a true falcon without all that extra baggage. That was the best gift she could have received.

Looks like the ravens are taking advantage of the falcons being gone. Hope they're smart enough to leave in the Spring before the falcons need the box!

the ravens nested on a building a block over last yer and another pair has been in and out of the box on one of the cranes.

the magpies and ravens know when the peregrines are gone.

the ravens and magpies clean up the box a bit.

I will have to take a stroll around and see what I can see, when I have time.

Weather has been nice here so we are all taking advantage of it. but I think that will change soon. we had no summer so we have had some for a few days now. too bad the falcons were not here to enjoy it.
