kitten, thanks for the sweet video. They have really grown!

I recorded this on 6-8 but couldn't get it processed before I left on a camping trip.

I always feel sorry for the ones that don't come out of the box for the feeding, so miss out.

One actually came down the step, then went back into the box before coming out again.

Courtesy of the King Operator, here is the information on the naming of the chicks:

Wednesday, June 22, 2011

Falcons Named In Honor Of Former King Employees

As a follow-up to Tuesday’s article on last week’s falcon banding at the Allen S. King generating plant, this year’s brood was named by the King plant maintenance team. The naming rights were auctioned off as part of the plant’s United Way fund raiser.

‘’We saw this as a great way to help the United Way and honor some long-time friends at the same time,’’ said Mike LaCasse, King welder specialist. The names of this year’s falcons are:

Axel, named after King plant retiree Tim Axel, a cancer survivor (here holding his falcon namesake);

Hansen and Barry, named after King plant riggers Richie Hansen and Tom Barry, who each lost battles with cancer before they retired;

Wortham, named after Jim Wortham, a recent retiree from the King maintenance team;

Fritsch, named after former plant director Mark Fritsch, who led King plant during the MERP project.

King plant retiree Tim Axel, a cancer survivor, holds falcon Axel, named in Tim's honor.
