Thanks for the pictures Anca and George. Saw that Jim Cantore is still in Harrisburg, and am going to spin downtown in a bit to see if I can see him. Might work in a little falcon watching, too. :-)

Hi everyone. I'm sorry I've been a stranger here lately. We came through the snow storm fine - lost power three times over the course of the day, but no additional damage done. The flood recovery has been slow and depressing and it's been hard to keep up my energy and have a positive outlook, so I have been reluctant to come online and complain. I am doing okay, and repairs are coming along slowly but surely. I got a furnace installed this past week, so I have heat in the house now, which is a major step forward. The insulation is still only partly installed and some problems have turned up under the house that were not immediately apparent, so it is going to take longer and cost more than originally thought. I am just about done painting and hope that the paint job will hold up for a long, long time so I don't have to do it again til after I have the rest of the house all fixed up the way I want it.

I hope everyone is doing well and all our falcon friends are flourishing, and ready for winter! I promise, I'll be back soon - I just have to get my attitude back on track before I am fit company to keep!

Love you all, and so happy to know that you missed me!

I understand what you're saying about your attitude, Sue! I also get into moods where I decide to stay away from everyone so I don't bring everyone else down. We love you anyway!

Great pictures, George. I was downtown at the time you captured them. Lil Dad was on the cam when I got there, and NG up on the shield. Had an urgent potty call, so went into the Amtrak Station to take care of that. When I came back outside, didn't see the falcons at first, but after looking a bit, found NG over on the point of the U Building's roof, and Lil Dad on the opposite end along Market Street. Could see that NG was eating. Had my camera along, but don't know how to post the pictures on here. I got some cool pictures of her eating and one of her taking off. Lil Dad took off in front of the Carson Building, headed down Aberdeen, and NG flew down Market Street. She must have only gone as far as where Lil Dad had been on the U Building, for when I got back to the street she was sitting up there above my head. She eventually flew back to the Carson Building, and landed on a small window ledge on the other side of the column. Lil Dad reappeared from wherever he had gone, and landed on the top of the glass enclosure above the nest ledge. Managed to get in the 5th Street Garage again, so watched for a bit from the roof to see if there was going to be any more action. Nothing else happened, and since I was getting chilly I headed home. Weather Channel crew must have departed for their next stop, for couldn't find them anywhere.

Sorry that you missed Jim Cantore, Jane, but you got to see NG and Lil Dad, even better.

My goodness westwindschild, sounds like you've had plenty to be down about. I sure am sorry that you've had such a mess like that to deal with. Come back when you feel more like it.

Thanks for the nice pictures today.

Oh, I just saw Jane's pictures too, thanks Jane and Reenie for posting. I hope you are doing ok Reenie.

Beautiful pics, Jane! Thanks for sharing. Reenie, glad you're back on your feet - hope your recovery is perfectly smooth. Don't overdo it right away - take your time and heal. I watched Jim Cantore's coverage yesterday; sorry you missed him Jane.

Thanks, everyone!
