Good news about one of SW and Buckeye's last chicks, born in 2009. She is Strike, banded black/red 34/H. Strike and her mate McKinley had chicks this year, but the chicks did not survive. She was last seen in the territory of Lara, the very aggressive Etobicoke female, and her mate Rocky.

Now Chad and Chris have identified her in Youngstown, Ohio. Earlier this year the resident male, Stammy, lost his long-time mate Stellar; two of their three juvies were also lost. Stammy and Strike are now bonding.

Thanks for the update on Strike, Alison. I know you were concerned that she was around Lara & I wondered whether things turned out OK. (I do remember Strike as a chick.) Good to know that she's moved on. Please let us know if you hear any info in the future about her. :snowflake2:
