I always thought that the ones here had a fierce look like this one does.

What a great catch at Genoa, ljames! This juvie looks so comfortable at the nest; I believe that the juvies seen here are this year's chicks. I have seen the male at the nest quite frequently. The fact that the visiting juvies are not being chased away seems to indicate that they belong here.

Also are the falcons banded and if so do you have some numbers for us I am trying to get an early start on the nests this year :holcrazy:
edited to add
I just watched your hurricane video and that was so great to see the little girl she is going to be a great woman someday down the road she was so excited to let the bird go and then chased it so it would take off just the sweetest thing ever now a question you showed what looked to be a nestbox that had gone onto its side in the water is that this one? and it was great to see the Osprey nest made it thru the hurricane and then to see the Osprey its self COOL I think this is going to be a great nest to watch thanks alot

Yes I am, I'm the conservation biologist at the MNSA. After learning from our Osprey Cam, we decided to amp up the system and place an independent cam system on a marsh island. It's currently in the test mode, I don't know if I'll be able to post the osprey and peregrine do to the limitations of my center. I will try my best to get both cams posting, but there will be at less one up and posting.

You can read the background story of the birds at http://mnsa.info/fauna_flora/PeregrineBox.htm

Videos will be posted to: http://www.youtube.com/user/wolfmikk

We are also on Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/MNSA1970

Thank you Marsh Mike for sharing this great info about Zoe & her nest, & welcome to BCAW! :grwelcom It was very interesting reading! I recognized several of the names of VA people who are active with peregrine falcons and falcon cams in VA (Ray and Shawn). I look forward to watching this cam during the 2012 nesting season & also reading your updates on Facebook! :bsanta:
