GREAT SERMON GREG, BUT I JUST CAN'T ACCEPT THE FACT THAT LIL DAD WON'T BE ON THE LEDGE ANYMORE, AT LEAST NOT UNTIL THE NEW SEASON STARTS, IT BRINGS TEARS JUST THINKING ABOUT IT. IF INFACT THAT LIL DAD DOESN'T EVER RETURN, OF COURSE WE WILL ACCEPT THE NB MALE LIKE WE DID NG, BUT IT WON'T BE EASY. IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AS IT WAS WITH MOM AND LIL DAD FOR ME.

Thanks for your message on here, Greg. It is full of insight. And there is nothing we can do but wait. I know I speak for most people who read this forum, that it's hard not to become attached. Many of those people have never been lucky enough to see the Harrisburg falcons except via the web cam. You are lucky too, to be able to watch the web cam and also look out from your office window to sometimes get a look at CJ and Red Girl when they're around.

GREG, I KNOW HOW YOU ALL FELT NOW WITH ALL THE COMOTION AND RG COMING ON SCENE DOWN THERE. I DIDN'T MEAN TO SOUND INSENSITIVE AND I ALWAYS ENJOY YOUR INPUT ON THINGS. OUR NEST IS NO MORE SPECIAL, ONLY TO US I GUESS. I KNOW NATURE CAN BE CRUEL SOMETIMES, OR MAYBE NOT, IT'S JUST THE WAY IT GOES. WE JUST BECOME TOO ATTACHED TO THESE WONDERS OF THE WORLD.

HAPPY TO REPORT THIS MORNING THAT THERE WASN'T ONE CROW OR BLACKBIRD ANYWHERE IN THE AREA! WHOO HOO!

Thank you Greg for reminding us how vulnerable these creatures are to their instinctive ways. On the other side, I too know how it feels to get attached. I can hardly wrap my mind around what could happen. I just don't want to think about that AT ALL. Mom dying put us all in an place where lots of us are still mourning her. Probably just like the female in Wilmington, lost before RG. Some who were SO close to Mom daily have great difficulty seeing all of this, I know. But what else can be done other than just hoping and praying things turn out the way WE would like it to be. I will "try" to keep a positive attitude about it all. A difficult task!

However it turns out, I will be there to watch and learn from it all!

I've only seen the stick view from the cam this morning. Waiting to see the point. OK, a falcon is now on or still on the point.

:wavingsnowgiril:
We are lucky to have falcons to watch.
We all wish we were watching Mom and Lil' Dad, or at least NG and Lil' Dad.
We all respond differently as life and nature spin us around--and it can be exceptionally frustrating, if not painful, when others say things that make it seem that they do not feel as we do.

We are a group who all treasure the chance to view these magnificent creatures together. It can be hard to be kind during these stressful times, but I think that it is always worth the effort.
