Poor Shadow. He's so alone. He ran down the ledge, next to the nest box. Head bobbed for awhile. He's now back in the nestbox and looks like maybe Clara has just arrived to keep him company tonight.

Scratch that...she just took off.

Michelle and ljames, I am so sorry about your little girl. Its tough learning to fly, and thankfully San Jose has people on the ground to save the ones they can. Males seem to be able to fly before females, but when you are the only female I guess its too tempting.

Well I've had my cry, more than one. I just can't believe that she is gone so suddenly. She deserved a better chance than what she got. :cryinggirl: :sosad2 :sosad

I see Shadow is still trying to decide whether or not he will go. He may be the baby, but I'm not sure.

Thanks everybody.

Just learned from my San Jose friend that they can't find Hermes. He has been MIA since Sunday night I believe. Any later word?

No. Hermes is okay... Here's the updates from the forum:

The camera has spotted Ahote' on the south side of City Hall, on a ledge on the 10th floor.

Hermes has moved to the south corner on the BofA and is doing well.

I think Hermes ended up moving to a different building on SJSU on Sunday night? I posted an update, I think on Monday. Could of been on the SF kids. I'm sorry, I'm getting confused on what I did/didn't post.

Shadow is still home.

Unita passed on her fledge flight on Sunday.

It is Shadow. Of course he did it right after I left to go grocery shopping!!

Good for him. And, safe for him.

Well, this is interesting. Someone is on the upper ledge. Reports in the Yahoo group are that Shadow is on the louver.

Wonder if it's a parent on the ledge, or if Ahote or Hermes returned?

Apparently, one of the early fledgers took a beautiful flight. "Lots of straight up and then just let the wind carry him. So wonderful!!!"

Shadow just flew off the louver.

I knew he was getting excited. He was running/flapping back and forth down the louver.
