I thought I would share this picture with you. It is of our male , at Clinical, that Gord released .
Gord has him set up with the cliff background on North Sask river, but the picutre of the male is jsut gorgeous. Gord says he is a beauty. I sure hope he made it to migration and that he will be back next year.
I am not sure what I have posted here and what I have not. We will be setting up our new computer so after this picutre I will post a few more in next few days and then say adieu for the season.
I found this season very stressful. So much to monitor and so much happened. I am hopeful for all our fledges that made it from the nest box . I was sad to lose Green, as she made the best first flight. I was sad our male got injured and as a result our kids were chased away by the young wiper snapper. but I am hopeful that Radisson managed to feed them away from the site. I know our yellow male and Red female would be fine . I was worried about our blue guy as he was a home body. But as they say no news is good news
All went well, at Weber and we know at least one was migrating. It seems yellow bands at our sites do well. do not know why.
With tears I said good bye to MIss Edmonton and Radisson One never knows what the next season will bring.
So according to my calculations and observations,
Miss Edmonton left on afternoon of Oct 8 and male left Weber on evening of Oct.7 RAdisson left Clinical on morning of Oct. 7 and male left sometime on Oct. 5.Enjoy Gords picture of our adult male that he rehabilitated. He changed his band to K97
