Raven's nest Wellesley College, Wellesley, Massachusetts There were 5 eggs this year, I'm not sure whether there are 5 or 4 chicks but at least 4. And an article about ravens from this nest. http://www.wellesley.edu/sites/default/ ... 26-229.pdf |

We have mourning doves in our yard. The platform feeders keep them off the ground and safe from outdoor cats. I was glad to find this mourning dove webcam in LaVerne. Now I have a bird's eye view of their nest. No information on when the eggs were laid. July 5, 2017: These mourning doves have two eggs in their nest. Father and mother take turns incubating the eggs. When taking off, their wings make a sharp whistling or whinnying. Mourning Doves are the most frequently hunted species in North America. Incubation period: 14 days LaVerne, California https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Mourning_Dove/id https://explore.org/live-cams/player/ro ... gbird-nest (yes, this is the link) |
