Well it seems I will be getting Luxie Mon. if all goes well with the transporter. :5val:
I'm so praying it goes well with the girls and they take to her like they did with Alaska. The thing that worries me is she is appr. 4 years old. Alaska was tiny kitten and they (Sophie & Miss Kitty) found her to be their source of amusement.
Now she runs the show , so I guess its her (Alaska) that will be the deal breaker.
WISH ME LUCK :teehee:

Luxie arrived Mon morning at around 9:30 am.
She is doing great Sophie is ok with her just a few hisses and ignore her.
Miss Kitty ok with her just ignores.
BUT Alaska finally came out of hiding around 9 pm. She is terrified of her.

This is Sophies spot at the top of the stairs, not a good start

My grand daughter left for school excited to meet her came home got homework done and sat on the back steps for half an hour waiting for me to come get her. Then I have Mason the no cat kid. When he found out that he could pet her anywhere on her body and she wouldn't go after him he was hooked, he even held her. This is a double no for him:teehee:

Well guess what????

I was asked to foster a cat that came from a bad place. She got caught by someone & they cut her tail off .She is (was) ferel. Not anymore. She has a bit of an eye issue, but nothing that can't be taken care of. The others aren't real sure of her. Again Alaska has gone into hiding. Miss Kitty & Sophie are just like oh poo another one. :teehee:
May I introduce the newest member of my family. Miss Snowball. Oh yeah she is a talker :girlcrazy:

Thank you all so much...
KF,
I picked up 10 (yes, TEN) water bowls that were scattered throughout... just in case he was thirsty on his way around the house! And I've been stepping over them (imaginary bowls!) since I picked them up (I knocked them over plenty of times...)
And, of course, I'm still looking for him....

My neighbor just took her cat to the vet for the Rainbow Bridge shot (20-something year old Siamese, blind with 3 legs). We had a lot of cries and a lot of laughs today....

It is good you have someone to share your heartache, tears & laughs with.
Hugs and prayers for the both of you.

Well, on Friday, 1-13-17, a new kitty came to live with me! (It took about 3 weeks of grieving, and looking(!), and wondering (should I or shouldn't I..)
Her name is ________???________ (first girl ever, after 8 boys and first time for an 'only child') I call her "Pretty Girl," "GirlFriend," and/or "PleasePleaseEat!"
Shelter papers say she is 8 months+ old, but probably older and will probably be a small cat.
Pictures coming soon...

:flirty:

I'm in LOVE!
Will post more info later - She came through an incredible Animal Hospital/Wellness Clinic in Waldorf, MD. My Pretty Girl's health care is FREE for LIFE! It's like a "Sam's Club/Costco" for animals! (But it's 1 1/2 hour+ away from me...)

Beth - my reading comprehension level is approx. grade 4; since I took her to the clinic within 72 hours of adopting, the cost (for several tests, meds, xrays, food (!), love) was $20!!!! Big Big discount. And if she has any critical (expensive) issues, I think the $20 (considered a donation) is the cost. I showed 'my' vet what they did and she said it would have cost well over $1000!!! It's called "Waldorf Well Pet Clinic," in Charles County, MD, they are affiliated with the "Last Chance Animal Rescue" - the shelter that had her. PetSmart (in Baltimore,Annapolis, etc area) gets all of their cats from them. More about PetSmart and the whole story later - I was super impressed! Now, if I could just get her to eat! The Waldorf vet called early this morning to check on her and told me not to worry - as long as she is drinking water - when her tummy (and her stress) calm down, she should be fine! They couldn't find anything wrong with her - just a Nervous Nellie - like her Mommy! xoxoxo
P.S. I spilled a can of Sardines on my kitchen rug/floor yesterday.... what a MESS!!! She does like sardines!
