:11turkey: Both have been here this morning off and on sometimes alone and sometimes together for nestorations beginning with a wet fluff delivery at 7:06. They are going to name Rose's calf!

Eagle Country
Just to update, all names for Rose's calf are listed on our Facebook page. Thanks for the input!

:7turkey: Oops!! This is hilarious, but welcome "SPARKY"!! If you want to see their photo together, go to FB.

Eagle Country
News Flash:

We will be pulling a name out of a hat tomorrow morning and naming a calf….wait for it… #94’s calf - who happens to be a Charolais cow. Rose, as nature would have it, is not a Charolais :). You may be asking yourself - Who is Rose’s calf??

As the picture reveals, these two could be twins and have stuck really close together in the herd. (The calf on the Left is Rose's calf and the calf on the Right is the one you all are naming.) Today, while checking cows, we had quite the surprise when the little calf we’re naming went to another mother!

So, as Friends of Eagle Country - we ask for your mercy!!

On a great note, both calves seem to be doing well. Rose’s legitimate child is, in fact, a boy. Who knew?!

We took the liberty of naming Rose’s (BOY) calf, Sparky!

So, we will find out tomorrow, what Sparky’s (girl)friend is named!

:buzzybee: Number 94's calf was named "Lucy" this morning! Victoria brought a fish to the nest eating part of it. Nicholas has also been in this morning and he tried out the bowl with Victoria looking on. Nobody on the tree right now.

:15heartbeat: Victoria went to the nest at 2:48 and worked on the bowl, then laid down in it at 2:53. Nicholas is still on the tree. She keeps pulling the fluff toward her.

:7val: Mod reported on chat that Victoria ended up sleeping in the nest for a couple hours last night. Since leaving this morning they have been back several times, especially her!! Not voiced today while I was here, but I know some think Victoria will have eggs earlier this season, as they do not have the extra burden/stress of having to rebuild their nest as they did last season after the storm destroyed theirs nor have they had to fight for their site with other eagles as they did during the rebuild. First egg last season ... January 28th!

:7val: Victoria and Nicholas surprisingly showed up to the snag with vocals a few minutes ago. You can see them from the cow cam. We'll see if they go to the tree for the night again. I just heard rustling. Oh heck, they went somewhere else for the night ...

:buzzybee: Nic and Vic did not come to the tree again today! However, I saw on chat, EC saw one of them fly over the pasture when they were with the cattle. I think it was Vic, but can't remember for sure ...

:harvest: Nobody home now, but this morning there have been several in's and out's. Hoping we get to see more of them through out the day as the last couple days have been quieter than usual!

:15heartbeat: Just getting in here for the 1st time today and went back as far as I could on the DVR and it appears someone spent the night or part of the night in the nest tree. I can't remember if I checked the cam here last evening for stay overs or not! If nobody is there at that time, sometimes I don't make a comment. Nobody home now.

:buzzybee: They are not on the tree tonight, but I have found out that both spent the eve/night on the tree last night. And I saw a video from last evening of a GHO landing on one of the branches near Victoria, startling her initially, but then she seemed to scare the owl away or maybe it realized ... there are 2 eagles in this tree!! :teehee:
