oct9-

sorry forgot to update and there is so much .

but will leave it as nest is looking great. both have been there frequently together and alone.
mom spent two nights at the nest , one on tree all night and one night she spent some of night in nest bowl after being in tree.

mom is looking great, left leg aside. she is learning to adapt. and she works well in nest. but for shorter periods
they are a hoot to watch as they both have their ideas as to where sticks should be placed :loveheart2:

we had two subadults her last week one , i think was about 3 years old and one looked about 4. they did nto stay too long. so hopefully they do not give mom berry a challenge.

mom berry is looking stronger an last time I saw her working in nest she looked very well. have not seen her since Friday so hopefully she show up today.

this is a long video but well worth watching. dad and mom working. it is a hoot

and pictures of the 2 subadults. I prefer not to see them around.fingers crossed. htey boht dug in nest. looking for scraps perhaps.

I have a lot to psot here and will do it tonight. last Friday the eagles were on nest at night. They were very upset about something. lots of trilling.

we have had visits 3 times by immature s. the one the other morning was same one as evening before I think. but since then, the Berrys have been to nest restoring. they have been busy beavers.

mom foot is still wonky and will always be that way,m but she manages fine. some days, if she works too hard, she has to rest it.
I have made a lot of posts previous to this but I guess no one is ready yet, so I will just post a few pciutres and a few key videos tonight. I have been keeping track.

I ma going to slow down this year, and take quite a few breaks.

good morning.

November 1

I know a lot are not watching yet, so I have not bothered posting.

both have been making regulars visits to nest now and doing nestorations. the left side still needs work. they have a large stick that needs to fall off or get pushed over the edge so they can build the rest up.

mom does well with her left leg but you can see at times , it gives her a problem. She is a real trooper.

we have had a few sub adults around and I posted pictures in earlier posts

there was one day early evening to next morning, that they were both on nest and extremely upset., calling and watching. at one point you could hear coyotes , very close, but i am sure that was not the problem. Dad went to various parts of tree that night , and we did not have approach cam to guide his whereabouts, but we could hear him answer mom

I really think the vidoes I posted are good ones. the sound tells a lot in first ones. I have so many vidoes but just picked a few

you can hear them trilling

if you turn up sound , you will hear coyotes

and in this one they are trilling and dad flies to left side

these is a good one to show that infamous stick. oct25 mom and dad both working

this is a nice one showing mom moving her pine branch

and yesterday dad brought mom a fish

I will start posting a few pictures when I can now. I only have about 1000 right now LOL since I do not have a slideshow program yet, the videos are easier for me.

lol Freddie B :15heartbeat:

I did same video. I knew mom would move stick eventually. It was hindering her landings. then dad puts it back but at least it is not lodged and is further down to left and not so high up. now they need to move some of sticks in front and some of them at 12 oclock.

they are a treat to watch.

This definitely was a stick day....I didn't have time to post from this morning...Mom brought in the stick...dad took it away from her. This entire thing reminded me of the vids you see of dogs carrying big sticks but can't get through the gate...He wanted it to go BEHIND the large branch...Mom tried to be patient...LOL

(I'm still having issues with Vid quality...I can't decide if its my old computer...or wrong record settings..)

Thanks for the suggestion...since YouTube changed from Flash to HTML5, wmv. vids no longer provided decent video..Needs to be AVI or MP4....so, I had to go search for new recording software. (I love my CaptureWizPro...so easy..but it doesn't have an MP4 option and the AVI option is the wrong codec for YouTube..and I refuse to pay to upgrade it..LOL) I'll go check out FastStonecapture!!

:halcat: Love this:

Berry College Eagles added 2 new photos.
19 mins ·
Those of you watching the Facebook Visitors’ Posts last week might have noticed our male eagle pictured with a huge stick! He broke it off of a tree near the nest and it was so large that he dropped it almost immediately. Pictured below you can see the eagle with the stick and Eddie Elsberry, Berry’s director of sustainability & environmental compliance, standing over it with his arms out for reference. The limb is 18 feet long and weighs around 26 lbs. Our male eagle broke off more than he could carry when he tried to get this “tiny tree”! (Picture of the male eagle taken by Gena Flanigen and picture of Eddie and the stick taken by Berry alum Bill Cameron)

:7turkey: Eighteen foot-long, 26 pound limb on ground! :teehee:
:7turkey: Pa Berry removing limb! :flirty:

:teehee: I have been peeking in here from time to time and Mr. Berry has been bringing in some unusual stick configurations this year, but this one takes the cake...lol.

I owuld have posted more pciutres but they are the same thing. moving branches. etc. they are fufnny to watch. I am so impressed by ma bErry
