I just watched mom attempt a feed. baby very lethargic, made a small effort to take a few bites..not sure that happened.

I posted concern on their FB page. Berry responded that they were aware and have contacted their eagle experts.....

B17 did pass and most likely it was during the eve of 4/10/24. I saw partial views of him shortly after midnight and there was no movement, but wanted to wait till there were full views.

SWINWK, thank you so much for keeping up with these nests...I checked on Berry at least once a day..just to see. Its the only nest I've actually been to personally...

So Sad.

Pa to the nest with a stick at 11:33, then Mom with a stick at 11:39. Pa did some rearranging.

Pa stopped in at 2:15 and flew out at 2:21. His visit will be on the DVR for a few more minutes.

Pa perched on a branch for a few minutes in the late am on 10/14/24. I did not get to see but a reliable source said it was Pa.

Earlier today an eagle miscalculated a landing and slammed into the branches and side of the nest. Just a flash of the eagle was seen on cam, but the crash was well heard. So quick unable to ID who this was or if it was one of the couple. Screen capture of event can be seen on their FB. One of the long-time photographers of the Berry nest believed he saw Mom nearby earlier today. Pa paid a visit to the nest for a few minutes this afternoon.

I leave the Berry nest up 24/7 and check on it frequently. It is very difficult coming in and seeing an empty unworked nest. There's been dramatic behavioral changes with the Berrys and their nest this season. Some differences I've noticed are: They didn't spend the summer here. Didn't visit the nest almost 1-2 times daily with some nestorations in September. Haven't done the big nestathon they usually do in October. No squirrels or fish to the nest to eat or give as a gift. They are not sleeping in the back as we don't hear them come in with vocals. Look at previous posts to see how sporadic their visits have been this season. Last visit for Mom was 9/28/24 on cam and Pa last seen about a week or so ago. Mom was seen by long time photographer of the nest, Max ... about a week or so ago in the "Studio Tree". It is a tree near the nest that the top is bare and allows photographers to grab great photos of them without obstructions when perched there. I think back to last season and remember Mom flying in on 2-3 occasions and flying out with a stick or fluff that she removed from their nest. I wondered then if she had "new nest" on her mind and I wonder now if that is what is going on or has already happened. Will continue to monitor. Pa Berry is my favorite eagle. :15heartbeat:

YW, Sky! Did see a "probable" eagle fly up to one of the trees in the far rear of the nest tree late this morning. No possibility of identification if a Berry or intruder. Rocky to the nest a little past midnight tonight. This is a 1st sighting of Rocky in many moons.

Eagle flyby on cam 1 to the left of nest early last evening. Unknown if one of the Berrys or a visitor.
