I watched her the other day just sitting patiently in nest. I should have known then.

And we are freezing :cold:

Here is to a great season. will watch when I can. the old computer is on last legs

and mom Berry was very stiff getting up this morning...Its gonna be mid teens tonight...

Interesting that there is still only 1 egg. Not that I have been glued to the cam the past several days, but they've been out of sync this year in terms of the switch...

I have had this cam up a lot
I have not seen the male
I hear her call - she leaves the egg alone and flies off
Friday she was terribly restless, kept leaving nest,
she kept beeking the grasses in an upset way
I'd like to see the male - to be sure he's around

we cannot see beyond the nest but sometimes when there is snow cover , sthe male reverts to female incubating as she can give more cover.

And we do not know if he is guarding territory or not. I trust this pair, and maybe one egg is all we will see.

I have nto been able to watch but will try and keep cam up this week.

From the DVR...Dad brought in a ??????. I don't know what Dad brought. It wasn't a stick..piece of bark? Looked like a large leaf frond...who knows...

Other than today (its cold and windy) Dad has pulled a lot of the day shift.

I am very glad the male showed up!
I know just cuz I didnt see him didnt mean she didnt.
She did vocalize to him off n on.

Here's a strange theory. Egg #1 was a fluke and was early. Egg #2 was right on time and we'll see a third egg...LOL
