Ma spent the whole night on the nest. Pa arrived at 7:11 with a stick and Ma immediately grabbed it and they tussled over it a bit, but eventually it was placed. He did some nestorations, then flew at 7:17. He returned a minute later with another stick. He went to a branch on the right and flew at 7:22. Ma flew out the back to start her day at 7:35.

:1val: Pa Berry did a nest check at 7:16 this morning and flew 4 minutes later after only moving 1 stick on the rear rail slightly during his stay.

:1val: Ma arrived to the nest at 10:05, hanging out for about 10 minutes!

:1val: Pa was in for stick placement a little after 2, but did not stay long.

:15heartbeat: Pa was on the nest at 7:42, staying over 15 minutes working on only slight nestorations tonight.

:5val: Going back on the DVR, Pa came in with a stick at 7:14. He considered all 4 sides of the rails before deciding to place it to the front one. He moved a pesky pine cone, did a little aeration and rearranged some sticks on the other rails, before flying out during his 11 minute stay.

:15heartbeat: A long visit by Ma and Pa this afternoon to work on the nest and rest! Initially, they worked on aerating the bowl, once Ma arrived. Then she pretty much stood and preened on occasion. Pa left several times during this visit, returning with sticks to place.

:7val: Ma and Pa popped in at 7:35 looking a little hot. Pa did a little work on the nest and there was 1 spat before he flew about 20 minutes later. Ma stood on the nest till 9:31 when she went to the branch on the right. I never heard her fly off while I was here, so I would not be surprised if she pops back down to sleep later.

:7val: Going back on the DVR, I did not see Ma on the nest for the night, so maybe she did fly after dark last night. Pa flew in with a stick at 7:09, followed by Ma a minute later. Both began nestorations including Ma. She did more work this morning than I have seen since last season. Pa left after 30 minutes and surprisingly Ma continued on stick placement. She seemed to struggle some with balance trying to place the larger sticks this visit. She flew at 9:14.

:1val: At 6:49, Pa shows up on the left branch, easing down it and into the nest a minute later. He mainly stood around and did a little preening. (Ma is not here, I notice when she arrives or is around, he usually picks up the pace of his work. :teehee: ) He hopped up to the right branch and flew at 7:16.

:7val: Ma is currently on the nest hanging out! She flew in at 1:09. She flew to the branch on the left at 2:25 and away seconds later.

:5val: He is feeding her on the nest again!! Pa has been in a total of 3 times today and Ma once. Both had at least 1 visit with an extended stay. Pa flew in with a fish at about 11:36 with Ma flying in (on his heels almost), snatching it up and eating it!!

:1val: Pa eased down the left branch and into view at a little after 7, but I didn't hear him land and am unsure how long he'd been there. He hopped into the nest to do some work, but soon decided it would be nice to try out the bowl. He had been lying in it for quite awhile, before deciding to exit via the left branch and flying off of it within the same minute of 7:35.

:15heartbeat: Ma flew into the nest with a slide landing at 2:17 with Pa arriving seconds later with a stick. They worked on placement. She hopped to the left branch and flew at 2:25 with Pa doing the same a minute later. He returned at 2:28 with another stick to place and then began rearranging the rails. He hopped to the right branch and flew at 2:45. Pa returned at 4:54 with a headless fish and I thought he was about to take a bite, but Ma flew in and snatched it from him and began to eat it. Pa started with nestorations and when he moved too close to her, she tried to nip him. She was feaking by 4:58. Pa flew at 5:08 only to return with another stick to place. They remain on the nest as I leave.

:1val: Going back on the DVR, Ma was already on the nest at 8 am. She flew at 8:33. During this period, Pa flew in twice with a stick to arrange, leaving shortly after placing the 2nd one.

:buzzybee: Well they have reset the cams and I can only go back 16 minutes, so they have not been here in the last 16 minutes this morning.

:1val: Going back on the DVR, I found Pa coming in at 1:42 with an unwieldy branch that he placed on the rear rails. Sometimes he trims his branches, but not this one. It has so many offshoots sticking up, I believe it could hinder Ma flying in from the rear trying to clear this and having enough room to land safely on the nest. When she slid on her landing a few days ago, I noticed she had some offshoots to clear and she landed further out than normal in the nest catching the edge of the bowl and sliding. He stayed about 5 minutes, before flying up to the branch on the right and out of sight.
