As we prepare for the upcoming eagle season, there will be times that the live stream may need to be taken offline in order to conduct maintenance. Currently, the computers used for streaming are being upgraded and should be brought back online by early next week. The cameras are not yet being replaced. Thanks for your patience.

In addition, your generous donations to the Berry College Eagle streaming fund help us to update cameras every other year and offset annual streaming and maintenance costs. Donations can be made at https://berry.webconnex.com/EagleCam.

:buzzybee: Cams 1 and 2 are up, but I could not get the approach cam and am hoping they are still working on that. Chat is different. You'll have to play with the links on page 1 to get where you need to go d/t the changes. I don't think the eagles have been walking on the nest much as the grass is thicker and higher than I've ever seen.

:newegg: @ 1:46 by Mrs. Dove! Located front and center of the nest. She walked up the left branch and out of view @ 2:07! Not a good situation.:girlsad3:

I do not know what happened to the egg. I did not see it yesterday nor today. Maybe another bird or animal consumed it or it was moved deeper in the grass by same. I was surprised to see Ma and Pa Berry fly in together at the end of the 7:07 minute this morning, after a longer absence than usual this summer to the nest. Pa tugged at some of the grass and did some aeration work and stick moving. He flew up to a branch at the back of the nest at 7:15 and in a couple minutes to a tree nearby. You could see him flying to a couple of other trees before returning to the nest with a pine bough to place at 7:20. He then began removing some of the needles from it, before eventually placing. Ma tried to remove a few needles too, otherwise she pretty much stood the whole visit. There was some minor testiness between them during the visit as it seems Pa wants to do his work without any input or closeness from her. Ma flew out the back of the nest at 7:29 and interestingly, Pa immediately stopped his work and watched her to see where she went and what she was doing for 5 minutes, before flying from the nest seemingly to join her! I really enjoyed their visit this morning! :5val:

:15heartbeat: Pa hopped into the nest from a right branch @ 6:39. He gently pulled on the grass with his beak, I think he wants it out of there. He flew out the back of the nest @ 6:43.

:buzzybee: It's about to go off the DVR, but Ma arrived to the nest at 6:30 something this morning. Pa arrived at 6:43 with a stick to place. He flew out the back at 6:50 followed by Ma a couple minutes later.

:15heartbeat: Pa Berry arrived to the nest with a pine bough to place at 7:01. Ma Berry flew in about 4 minutes later. Pa left at 7:09 and she a couple minutes later. He arrived again at 7:12 with a stick to place and then re-arranged some others before leaving at 7:15. Nestorations are underway!

:1val: Pa arrived to the nest with a stick to place at 3:35. Ma arrived a couple of minutes later. He re-arranged some other sticks. They are coming by enough now that the grass is getting stomped down some. Pa flew out the back of the nest and Ma watched where he went and she followed. Pa returned at 3:45 with another stick and placed. He left 4 minutes later.

:7val: Ma Berry is lying on the nest sleeping. She has been there all evening.

I watched them on the DVR earlier this morning. Pa arrived to the nest at 6:53 and Ma at 7:05. They did nestorations primarily working on the rails. Pa flew at 7:22 and returned 4 minutes later with a stick to place, He flew again at 7:32. Ma continued to stand in the nest and a spider made it's way down from above right in front of her, she watched it and suddenly snatched it with her beak and ate it! She moved just slightly to another position in the nest and stood awhile. At 8:19 she started to turn around and unfortunately her left talons slipped down the dip of the bowl and she partially fell toward the right. After righting herself, she flew at 8:20.

Ma is not here tonight, but I did see Pa come in to the nest at 6:20 per the DVR. Saw him place 1 stick and pine cone to the rails and then pretty much stand looking out and about. Hope Ma is doing okay. He left at 7:07.

:5val: When I came in earlier this morning, Ma was standing in the nest! Luckily, going back on the DVR, I found Pa coming in with a stick to the nest at 7:16. After placing it to 3 of 4 sides of the nest, he finally found the right spot! Ma arrived 5 minutes later. They adjusted a few sticks and did some aeration work. Pa flew to a branch and away within the minute of 7:25. Ma remained on the nest the rest of the morning. She stood looking around and did a little preening with the exception of lying in the bowl from 9:01 till 9:32. She flew out the back of the nest at 11:37.

:egg14: Pa arrived to the nest at 11:44, landing with so much force ... I thought he was going to topple head over heels, but he was able stop the fall! He spent the next 30 minutes lying in the bowl pretty much, before flying out toward the back woods.

:1val: On the DVR, I found Pa coming in at 2:33. He stood looking upward to the skies and around for 5 minutes till Ma flew in. Then he immediately got busy moving pine cones and sticks, a little aeration and finally stood awhile. He flew out at 2:45, returning a couple minutes later with a stick to place. Ma made an adjustment to 1 of the rail sticks. He flew out at 2:54. Ma remained on the nest standing for 15 minutes before flying out the back. All of that standing grass that was growing from the nest floor is pretty much gone now.

:15heartbeat: Pa arrived to the left branch at 7:49, after a minute or so he eased down the branch to the nest to move a stick. Ma flew in at 7:52 and they did some aeration to the floor. Both appear hot as they are panting with their beaks open. Pa flew off the nest at 7:59. Ma stood for a long time and then began preening. When finished at 8:42, she eased down to lie in the bowl. She remained there for about 20 minutes before coming out of the bowl to stand. She remains in this position, sleeping at intervals as I leave.
