Have been watching off and on all morning. Pa was on duty when I came in sometime around 8 this morning and he remains there. Have seen him taking a couple quick breaks during this time. While watching a few minutes ago, the screen and chat went black. I have not been able to get back on. Know they were having troubles with trolls on chat and Berry entered chat a couple times. Don't know if these events are related.

Really hope somebody comes along from here and captures a pic of Ma in the nest right now! In my line of work it is called the "knee-chest" position! I have never seen this from her or any other eagle before. Certainly not ideal for an egg. Don't know what her reasoning is.

She stood for labor in the 6:19 minute and egg seen @ 6:27:23 for 1st time!! Check out on DVR!

Thank goodness, now I can finish unloading my car before the snow comes!! :teehee:

That made me giggle! I went out and got 50 lbs. of birdseed - my equivalent of stocking up on milk and bread before a snow storm!

I went for BBQ, popcorn and coffee! They got 1 thing right here ... it's heavy and wet!! Hope you are not within the St Louis band as they are shutting down roads!! :1snowball:

Still dark here and Ma is sound asleep with her head tucked, however I hear the soft calls of a certain eagle who must be very near trying for his time with the eggs!

Guess who was successful and sees his eggs together for the 1st time ... a slight roll and soft "plop" and he's on them!!

Congratulations to Ma & Pa Berry and everyone here. Two eggs. Woo hoo! Ma is such a marvel and inspiration. The way she manages with her deformed L leg is just amazing. She perseveres. Here are some pics from today. Her vocals are very soft when dad is near. Very touching. They are such a sweet pair. :15heartbeat:

929am - Mom vocalizing to Dad that it is time for her to take over egg duty.

1118am - Dad brings a talon-full of hay that Mom appreciated and pulled around her.

mom is in and nite light is on but dad just called to mom and she replied.

dad brought in a rabbit today . He had a god meal before he came in. mom ate some and left but when she came back later she ate most of what was left

Berry has a nice video someone posted of Pa Berry defending the nest from an adult eagle that happened yesterday!! He did his duty and went back to the eggs without missing a beat ... Great job Pa!! :ohyes:

I have been away but it is raining at nest ay11:06am dad is on nest and mom is in favorite perch tree. a ground observer is there

yes, dad took care of an intruder, and it may still be around. fingers crossed. maybe ground observer will be able to scope out area.
