:1val: Ma did not spend the night on the nest. In addition to the kestrel visits this morning as posted above, there were as many as 3 on the nest early this eve. Pa was quite the "Patooty" this evening as you will see. At 7:24 pm Pa arrived and stood on the nest. Ma arrived at 7:38 and Pa immediately got busy working on the bowl and soon turned around and could be seen aerating, moving a pine cone and stick out. He moved a stick back to the rail, then re-arranged some as Ma went to stand in the bowl. Pa continued to clear the floor of the nest, rail work, more floor work. He's too close to Ma and he raises up and beaks her back some. :teehee: Resumes his work then beaks her again. :teehee: Next he got a little nasty with it causing her to rear her head back to get away from him and he beaks her a few more times for good measure. :teehee: Then more floor work. Ma up at 7:49, then settles back down again over the bowl. Pa comes and stands beside her. Pa flew at 7:53 and Ma watched to see where he went. At 8:04 Pa returned with a pine bough and crash lands onto Ma's right wing. :teehee: He placed it to the right rails as Ma got up and out of his way. He continued his work about the nest as Ma watched. Then he comes to the bowl and snips on her 2-3 times. :teehee: He comes to the front of the nest, then places stray sticks to the right rails. Then stops to snip on Ma more. :teehee: Back to stick work, then moving pine cones away from the bowl rim, more rail work. Ma tries to get out of his way and settles in the bowl again. She aerates a little as Pa watched, then he helped her. Then moving pine cones again and more rail work. Pa went to the right rails to stand, then flew up to the right branch at 8:21 and out of sight. Pa returned at 8:25 with a stick and drops part of it on Ma's head. :teehee: He moved it off, then started on more rail work. and reaches over and chewed near Ma's face and down the top of her beak. :teehee: Ma got up and out of his way with soft cries. More rail work for Pa and moving another pine cone and stick. He went to the rear rails and worked, then chewed on one of the rear nest tree branches. Ma moved to try to get back to the bowl and he reached over and plucked at her tail feathers. :teehee: He went to the rear rails and stood awhile. Then up to the left branch at 8:35 and flew a couple minutes later. Eventually Ma settles into the bowl. Pa returned at 8:47 with a humongous stick and placed partially on Ma. :teehee: They played tug of war with it and then he moved it to the front rail. When he backed away he stepped on Ma's head and she got up and they snipped on each other. :teehee: More rail work for Pa then he walked in front of her and they snipped on each other again. :teehee: He stood a bit, then to the rear of the nest to chew on the tree branch again. To the front of the nest to move sticks and Ma gets out of his way and settles in the bowl again. He trimmed the humongous stick he placed earlier, then to the rear of the nest for more rail work. He stood on the rear rails for a bit, then flew at 9:04 for the night. Ma slept in the bowl the rest of the evening. She got up at 1:05 to stand on the nest floor and preened at intervals. She continues to stand and is asleep as I leave at 2:25 am.

:1val: Ma spent the night on the nest. When I first checked at 6:37 this morning, nobody was on the nest. Pa came in at 6:06, Ma out at 6:09, Pa out at 6:14 per chat. There were 3 kestrels playing on the nest again early this morning. They are a lot of fun to watch. Ma arrived to the nest at 9:32 and stood. She flew at 10:47. At 8:43 an eagle arrived to the left branch in partial view. It was Pa as he hopped down to the nest at 8:55. He picked up a small item from the nest floor and dropped it. He went to the left branch at 8:56, called out and flew seconds later for the night. The nest remains empty as I leave at 11:25 pm.

:1val: Ma did not spend the night on the nest. There were more kestrel visits to the nest this morning and afternoon. One was having a ball with the largest feather on the nest. I only saw 1-2 there at a time today. At 4:22, Pa arrived to the nest and stood. He flew at 4:53. Pa returned to the nest at 8:17. He stood for awhile. Then twice he picked up and dropped the feather the kestrel had been playing with earlier. Next he aerated the nest floor for a couple of seconds. He went to the left branch at 8:58 and flew for the night seconds later. The nest remains empty as I leave at 1:20 am.

:1val: Ma did not spend the night on the nest. At 2:28 this afternoon, Ma arrived to the nest and stood. By 2:58 she is maneuvering to lie in the bowl. At 3:51 she got up and stood again. And back down in the bowl at 4:39. Ma got up and stood again at 8:58. At 9:18, Ma seemed to be watching something out the front of the nest. She opened and closed her beak as if vocal, but there was no sound. She went to the left branch and out of sight at 9:19, then partially in sight and flew out for the night seconds later. The nest remains empty as I leave at 1:30 am.

:1val: Ma did not spend the night on the nest. There were kestrel visits on the nest again this afternoon. Ma arrived to the nest this evening at 7:01 panting and stood. By 8:06 she is crouching over the bowl and eventually lying in it. At 8:54 she brought some fluff toward her chest. She has continued to lie in the bowl the rest of the evening. As I leave at 11:33 pm, she is asleep.

Ma is watching something away from the nest at 11:45. She stood at 11:47 and continues to watch intently, then she flew directly from the bowl at 11:49 for the day. The nest remains empty as I leave at 10:52 pm.

:1val: Ma did not spend the night on the nest. But Ma did arrive this afternoon at 12:43 to the nest and stood and looked around. She preened a little at one point during her stay, but seemed to be keeping an eye on something away from the nest. She went to the left branch at 1:30 and flew. At 5:23 Ma returned to the nest and down into the bowl where she stood for awhile before lying in it. Ma has remained lying in the bowl for the remainder of the evening. She is asleep with her head tucked as I leave at 12:40 am.

:1val: Ma spent the night on the nest. She was gone when I went back to 6:34 on the DVR, but chat reported she left at 6:16 this morning. Ma returned at 11:19 per chat and I found her lying in the nest at 1:15 this afternoon. She stood at 4:24 and back down again at 5:03. She stood at 5:17 and backed up to the rear rails at 5:19 for a PS. At 5:23 she hopped in one leap to the bowl rim and stood, then preened a little. At 5:25 she starts descending into the bowl, then stood. Back up to the bowl rim at 5:37 and stood. At 6:12 she heads down in the bowl to stand. At 7:01, she backed up to the rear rails again and stood, then another PS a minute later. At 7:04 she hopped in one leap to past the middle of the nest landing on the front rim of the bowl. She did a little aeration to the rim, then crouching and aerating and finally lying on the nest by 7:06 and more aeration. then settles. Ma stood at 9:21, then backed up a little and stood looking around, then backed up to the rear rail and stood and finally preened some. She stood quite awhile before hopping in one leap directly into the bowl at 11:38. She crouched over it and aerated a little, then stood at 11:39 and aerated, then lying in the bowl by 11:40 and eventually asleep. Ma stood at 1:37. She continues to stand in the bowl and is preening as I leave at 2:10 am.

:1val: Ma spent the night on the nest. When I went back on the DVR to 6:48, she was not there. She flew at 6:31 this morning per chat. Ma returned at 11:14 to the nest and stood. At 11:51 she headed to the bowl and eventually was lying in it. Ma stood at 12:29 and looked around. Ma went to the left branch at 12:31 and flew seconds later for the day. A little after 1:00, thought I saw an eagle flying through the back woods, but while I suspect it was Ma I have no idea really. The nest remains empty as I leave at 11:38 pm.

:1val: Ma did not spend the night. At 6:29 this evening Pa arrived to the nest and down into the bowl. It's been a little over a week and a half since Pa has been to the nest. He spent most of the time looking at the floor of the bowl or his talons. He went to the left branch at 6:41 and flew a minute later for the night. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:28 am.

:1val: Ma did not spend the night. Per chat here it was noted from another site Pa made a brief appearance early this morning. Nobody was here when I first went back on the DVR today to 7:10 am. I did not see any eagle visits when I monitored throughout the day. The nest remains empty as I leave at 12:44 am.

:1val: Ma did not spend the night. Just a sliver of an eagle can be seen on the left branch at 8:42 this evening. Then a minute later Pa comes into view and hopped down on the nest and stood. At 9:02 he hopped up to the left branch and flew seconds later for the night. The nest remains empty as I leave at 3:00 am.
