:flirty: Pa can be seen now on the AP. He flew in at 12:19 as can be seen per the AP. On the nest cam, you can hear him land and see a wing flap on the left branch. At 12:23 he goes onto the nest under the pretense of work, but he's looking for his egg!! :teehee: He aerates and looks, then lifts a stick off the floor of the nest that happens to be under Ma's tail causing her to have to get up and he has another look-see. Defeated he gradually, makes his exit at 12:23 to the right branch. His white head is to the right of the round light above the nest and is lined up perfectly with it. He moves his head every once in awhile. Watch the AP at 12:23 if you have trouble seeing him and you can tell where he eventually goes.

:15heartbeat: Ma spent the entire night on the nest. Pa to the nest at 7:04 to work some and then to the left branch shortly before flying at 7:11. He returned at 7:55. Ma flew from the rear of the nest and down and up to the back woods with Pa following immediately. Pa back at 8:16 with a large, multi-forked, stick to place. He worked it in to the left rail. He flew at 8:35. He's back at 9:10 and Ma a minute later. They are working with the fluff on the floor. He went to the left branch at 9:13 and eventually flew. Ma remains on the nest lying in the bowl.

:15heartbeat: Ma is spending the night. Have read that Pa chased an eagle intruder today and it could be seen on the app cam, but all is well for now. Do not know all the details.

:1val: Pa to the nest at 7:16. Ma flew at 7:37 out the back of the nest and Pa hopped up on the back rail to follow her out immediately, but he hesitated as he noticed the squirrel pelt as he hopped up and turned around toward it and pulled up on it. Then his focus switched back to Ma and he looked back over his shoulder for her for a bit, then said to heck with the squirrel and turned to face the back woods once again and flew at 7:39.

Nothing like a squirrel pelt to distract a guy! :teehee:

:flirty: Glad Ma is spending the night again. Some on the ground have reported she is having difficulties at times with mating, but other times it appears okay. We still have 1 more week in her usual egg laying window.

:shockedsanta: Very active storm going through with Ma on the nest!! Wind, rain, possible hail earlier! IR came on, because it is so dark. Cam stopped at 4:04.

:girlsad3: BC has responded to the msg's sent saying if the power is out, the cams will be down. They are not on campus now and will fix when they can. So, we may be without a cam here for the weekend!

:1val: Winds and rain are diminishing per report from person on parking lot there. They drove to the north side of nest and did not see any damage, seemed intact!

ma in nest before cam went out

she is safer here than trying to hold onto a swaying branch with her leg. She is a smart cookie :7val:

:15heartbeat: Hoping we get cams back before Monday! Update: Mom and Dad are fine. The trees fell close to the nest, but the nest tree is fine. One tree broke crushed thru the fence. Power is now being restored throughout Rome, GA. Blessed.
