I find it really hard to keep these cams up in day as being HDthey keep swirling. I really hope the female stays,

I think all the storms etc, an d eagles loosing their nests because of them, is causing thi s great number of eagles around.

I guess one of ground crew hears them .

I went back into the pics and like you said Bev, this male was here yesterday, both in the morning and also in Loza's video yesterday afternoon. I am not sure, but he may also be the mature male that arrived Sunday evening. I don't have any pics of that male's chest from Sunday evening, but the white neck fringing looks similar. A2 has been pretty consistent here. She is beautiful and she is large. I wonder if she is a northern eagle. She looks so much like Decorah mom with the dark shading behind the eyes.

She may relent and go with this one. They said she gave him a few "beak nibbles". She allowed him in the nest without a fuss. Although, I didn't see the whole time. And they took off for the lumber yard tree together per a ground person.

babyhawk_AEF (Moderator): A2 appears to be accepting this new eagle that showed up on the nest earlier today. It does appear to be a smaller eagle (male) & it is also possible that A2 is familiar with this new eagle. Perhaps from off the nest, out in the area. This new eagle was submissive to A2 when they both went to the Sunset Branch earlier. Then a short time ago, A2 moved closer & was seen giving the new eagle a few beak nibbles when they were perched on the branch together.

Missy n Big Dude
January 23, 2019
3.30 am I see an eagle tucked on cam 2 perched out on a branch
4 am Chuckles from 2 eagles, Missy flies to a branch out of cam view
She does the Missy shake. I can hear that clearly. Its a distinctive feature.

There is a beautiful BIG male courting Missy (A2)
They were in and out Jan 22 as if playing

Big Dude has a few white - feathers or scars - on his right - from war?
Nadia calls it - neck fringing.
Some older healing wounds on left foot of Dude.
He is BIG enought to handle Missy! Big take CHARGE Dude!

Nadia posts -
A2 (Missy) has been pretty consistent here. She is beautiful and large, like a northern eagle. I also thot Missy might be a northern eagle.
She looks like Decorah mom with the dark shading behind the eyes.

Hey, maybe she is one of the Decorah young - Miss Decorah!

AEF still calls the page - Romeo & Juliet, I see.
I suspect R&J are somewhere else peacefully

OH THATs the otter sound! I wondered. lol

bev - he lifted his LEFT talon and it appeared to have wounds but not fresh.

Got to see the other one finally. Wish I could see who they are making their presence known to!! Viewing during the later evening hours and the darkness of the morning hours are so much better than during the day with all the disruption of the cams.

:thanku Loza, I want to give you a big hug. The video's are great. I am at the office without cam access, but I am checking in and taking still shots of your videos. I do not believe this is the mature male that was present yesterday and Monday, but not certain. It is not the adult male that showed up Sunday evening. I cannot post pics while I am at the office, but I will when I get home tonight. This eagle has a small dark notch without feathering just above the top right side of his cere. I cannot see any whitish patches on right side of his breast, but that area is obscured by his wing and camera angle in these videos. This eagle also has a more uniform border to the white neck feathers that meet the breast. Is this yet another male?

There was another new white-headed eagle this morning that they zoomed in on his chest. It has a white feather askew on his left central chest from what I can remember.

both just left. A2 for sure. cams seem better today, go figure, it is so windy that no eagle really wants to stay here if they are sane LOL
The flights out were normal, not as if on the defense

4:32pm- one rooting in net. they were both doing thi s last night so I am not sure why

now on perch.
I am not even going to try and guess who is who anymore.( no bands) and with all the turmoil, war wounds could be on on e that did not have any first time seen. Manes can be torn from fighting an d so on.

like thi s one has dirt or a wound under left nostirl. ( I think dirt form nest)
