:1val: Samson has not been seen since yesterday, so no known fish for Romy today. It is unknown where Romy is tonight. Gabby has not returned and Jules has not returned from fledge. The Tuck:

TUESDAY TUCK-IN: Hmm....Monday Samson got stood up. Last night Romy got stood up. Tonight your ground crew got stood up! I can only guess those rascals are out there somewhere together. Bet dad is showing Romy around town.....maybe they did some dad and lad fishing today. My guess is we won't see them until tomorrow.....probably Romy will arrive at the nest in the morning? We will see! SED to all and to all a good night!

:1val: Samson brought a fish to the nest for Romy earlier today. So both finally seen today, but it is unknown where they are spending the night. Gabby has not returned and Jules has not returned from fledge. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:09 PM
WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: We had an empty nest up until this afternoon when Samson came barreling in with a whole fish and Romy hot on his trail. It was obvious by Romy's crop that he had an earlier meal today off-site! Samson perched at the nest for some time and "attempted" to get a bite or two of the big fish he delivered, but Romy was totally resistant. They went round and around until Samson flew off. Romy then flew too. They didn't arrive back at the nest tonight or seen in the Hamlet. We may be seeing more of this as Romy's nesting time narrows down. We can look for him to entertain us tomorrow, tho, I'm quite sure. He loves his nest! SED to all

:1val: It is unknown where Samson and Romy are tonight, but both seen today and Samson delivered a fish to the nest for Romy. Gabby has not returned nor has Jules returned from her fledge. The Tuck:

THURSDAY TUCK-IN: Those 2 rascals stood us up again tonight. I'm sure Samson is leading Romy to other cool spots to roost at night, and that's ok. We know they will return. Romy is like a yo-yo back and forth from the LY to the nest during the day. This morning he camped out on LOP waiting for his "room service". Ya always know when it's coming, as he announces it loud and clear, jumps in the nest, and positions himself (allowing dad some room to land....nice of him LOL), and go for the steal. He has learned to be quite experienced from the beginning (if you remember), as he had to go for a quick "steal" to get fed with sis, Jules, first in line. She made it clear she was 1st! Times have changed, and Romy has proven to be excellent in his flight skills, hoarding food delivered, and now (without a doubt) learning from dad off-site......all important skills he will need in the wild! We can be assured once he does leave for his independent life in the wild, he will be well prepared. He's doing it all right, and Samson is making sure he's got this!

FRIDAY TUCK-IN: Romy arrived at the nest before 11am this morning with one full crop. He's scoring off-site, that's for sure! He finally flew a little after 5:30pm. We didn't see Samson today at the nest or LY. Perhaps he's encouraging Romy to transition from the nest to the wild world out there. We didn't see them at tuck. All is well as our season slowly winds down.....and what a joyful season it has been! SED to all!

:1val: Romy is spending the night at the LY. As far as I know, Samson was not seen again today. Gabby has not returned and Jules has not returned from fledge. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:43 PM
SATURDAY TUCK-IN: Our boy, Romy, spent considerable time at the nest today, and late afternoon he flew to the LY where he is tucked in a protected pine feeling the falling rain. Weather on the east coast isn't as affected by the TS as the west coast or central FL is, but we can expect rainy weather for the next few days as the storm passes thru the gulf. Be safe, everyone, and enjoy the rest of your weekend. SED to all

SUNDAY TUCK-IN: Although we didn't see Romy at the nest today, he did roost in the LY last night and was seen there this morning. He is surely progressing and spreading his wings, as he should. What a treat to see Samson arrive at the LY tonight. He moved to a more secluded pine to roost for the night. What will tomorrow bring? SED to all

MONDAY TUCK-IN: Samson arrived at the LYT before 5pm and finally flew to a nearby pine to roost for the night. Has Romy departed? Time will tell. He spent his last night at the LY on Saturday night after spending most of the day at the nest. If he's on his way, he's well prepared.....thanks to his faithful dad, Samson. SED to all!

:1val: Romy has not been seen so far again today, but Samson spent the whole night at the LY and brought a fish for Romy to the nest. Samson ended up having to eat it as a hawk was in the area. He just recently flew from the tree.

:1val: Romy has not been seen since Sunday morning at the LY. Samson was at the nest today and is at the LY tonight. Gabby has not returned and Jules has not returned from fledge. The Tuck:

TUESDAY TUCK-IN: Well....well....guess who showed up at the LY shortly after chat concluded?? Yes, Samson! Samson arrived at the nest today with a fish, and I believe he will remain in the Hamlet for awhile yet. He is truly our "main stay", great mate and great provider. What great qualities passed down from his great parents. Thanks to all for loving this eagle family. And thanks to all for supporting the great AEF that provides this exceptional cam experience. SED to all

:1val: Cams are up again, but nobody home. Romy was not seen again today. Samson is at the LY. Gabby has not returned and Jules has not returned from fledge. The Tuck:

THURSDAY TUCK-IN: Our faithful Samson keeps watch over the Hamlet night after night just as he did last season. His family has departed as planned, and what more could we ask for!? Samson will likely remain in the nest area for awhile yet. SED to all and thank you for making this nest family an important part of your day. Y'all are important to us!

SUNDAY TUCK-IN: Well, that rascal Samson was a "no show" at the LY tonight. He stayed there longer this morning than usual. Not sure that is a sign. We will continue to watch for him and report any sightings. Thank you to our chatters and everyone that has made this chat room so special to our NEFL cam team. It's been such a rewarding season full of special memories, smiles and friendships. Stay tuned to whatever is to come. SED to everyone!

:1val: Probably it is Samson at the LY tonight. None of the others seen today. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:26 PM
MONDAY TUCK-IN: We saw a mature eagle in a pine in the LY tonight. We couldn't confirm if it was Samson, as it was getting pretty dark. The eagle was tucked in the tree hard to see, and in a tree we don't usually see Samson in. As usual Glenn will be checking before first light in the morning. SED to all!

:1val: Wasn't expecting to read this. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:20 PM
TUESDAY TUCK-IN: Arriving at the LY a bit before 8pm there is an eagle already perched in a pine in the LY. It was close to the tree we saw the eagle in last night. Usually when Samson arrives, he lands on the LYT and often later flies to a pine in the LY to roost for the night. This eagle arrived early and was first seen in a pine, and was there when we left at about 8:50pm. The eagle is very likely the same one I saw for the past 3 nights in the same trees. The eagle doesn't seem to have the same behavior as Samson and does appear bigger from the view we have. We are leaning towards Gabby as that tree is the one she often used to perch in and yell at Samson when he was on the LYT (lol). But we can't confirm. What we can confirm is it's an eagle that is familiar with the LY. Glenn will be checking again in the morning, but like this morning the eagle leaves before first light. Just cool we still have an eagle in the Hamlet! SED to all. Take care of yourself and others!
