I'm only seeing Cam 3 up and running from the ground view right now. I understand the west side of Florida will get the worst of the storm. I pray that all impacted by the storm will be safe from harm.

How odd. I can only open cam 3, the approach cam. Nest cams 1 & 2 have an "X" in the middle and tell me there is no compatible source found for this media. I don't know what that means. I was able to view the cams last year with no problem.

I just did some research online and this is apparently a new problem with internet explorer. People started noticing it with the northeast eagle cam around mid year. I'm not sure how to fix it.

:taz: Here's the "Tuck-In Report" from tonight:

Sep 9, 6:57 PM
gretchen_AEF (Admin): SATURDAY Tuck-In Report: Just got home from tucking. We didn't expect to find R&J, as they hide out in inclement weather. A nor'easter is what we are experiencing in the Hamlet, not affects from Irma yet. Maybe this will push Irma west! Anyway, R&J were perched across the street from the nest high in a pine. If weather isn't too balmy in the morning, you can expect them at the nest around 7am most likely. . .all depends on weather. The storm will kick in here in about 24 hrs. (continued)e's the "Tuck In Report" from tonight:

On the preview page

"Sep 10, 1:51 PM
gretchen_AEF (Admin):

We are beginning to experience the outer bands of the storm.
At some point the power and cable (providing cams thru internet) will go.
We likely won't have any updates until storm passes sometime tomorrow.
R&J will seek shelter. Thank you for your continued prayers.
Trust the Eagles and please keep the prayers going."

From AEF NEFL Eagle Nest Chat

Sep 11, 2:36 AM

debistl_AEF (Moderator): FROM GRETCHEN:
NEFL WebCam streaming went down around 7:50 p.m., as was expected at some point. Strong winds and heavy rains continue at the nest but no damage. They have downgraded the forecast to a CAT2 hurricane and it is moving faster than expected, which she says is better than slower. Trust the Eagles, and be patient. Updates will be posted in the NEFL chat box. Please keep Romeo and Juliet in your prayers, in addition to all in Irma's path

Sep 11, 2:36 AM

debistl_AEF (Moderator): UPDATE ~ The electricity went out in the area but it looks like cams will or have come up, even if for a little while. Trust the Eagles, and be patient

Edit

Sep 11, 11:00 AM

squee_AEF (Moderator): Good morning! temps now in the upper 70's. tropical storm conditions this morning with showers/ heavy downpours and gusty winds. Cloudy and windy this afternoon, temps in the low 80's. Winds will be at 40-60 mph, decreasing to 25-35 mph. Enjoy your day and please keep your thoughts and prayers for all in the path of Irma!

Sep 11, 11:41 AM

squee_AEF (Moderator): Long Leaf Pine trees(which nest is in), can grow 100-120 feet tall, are 2 1/2 feet in diameter and live 300+ years. Very sturdy trees! Trust The Eagles!

Sep 11, 1:50 PM

gretchen_AEF (Admin): Good Morning. Your ground crew is fine. It was an awful night hearing the roaring wind and pounding rain. Glenn has been to the nest and it appears ok. There is standing water in the immediate area, but considering the strength we endured, it is amazing things aren't worse. We are checking the cams, and waiting for our Romeo and Juliet to return after the wind subsides and rain stops. It's still rough out. Prayers for their return are appreciated.

Sep 11, 1:51 PM

gretchen_AEF (Admin): Power and cable were only out for 12 hrs. . . .amazing work by the power company.

:thanku Loza.

The times are off on your posts from the website....probably due to the power outage. It's now 9/11 at 9:27 am. Here is the latest post from the website. Looks like the tree and nest survived. Just waiting for the return of Romeo and Juliet. The times are now correct on the website chat posts.

Sep 11, 8:26 AM
sharipf_AEF: Good news - Cams have power! But as you can see they are not streaming live. Cams will be checked as soon as it is safe to do so!
