AEF-NEFL Eagles ~ Rain, Rain Go Away ~ 11·23·17

It was a rainy Thanksgiving Day in the Hamlet.
Juliet keeps her eggs covered and dry.
Romeo perches nest-side, occasionally dozing off as the rain falls.

Safe travels, Loza. I'll keep an eagle's eye out for this next.

Sally wasn't too far off in her pip prediction. I, however, lived up to my prediction that I would be in bed! :zzzzz

On a more serious note, Juliet was so antsy last night, getting up many times, listening, and rolling her precious eggs. :15heartbeat:

:rudired: Thanks DEF! I don't think the mods realize there is already a pip from the sounds of their reports. Romeo is on duty and I caught a quick look at the eggs, but didn't see the pip or progression.

That sure looks like a pip near her talon or a hole in the other egg? It's hard to tell. Could be nest debris or moss. American Eagle Foundation has yet to confirm a pip on their website and it's been cool in Florida (56 degrees right now), so both parents are tight on the nest bowl. If Juliet was antsy last night, she may be feeling or hearing something....woo hoo!

:rudired: Juliet returned, with long look @ this side of eggs, I did not see a pip. She did not roll the eggs before getting on. Romeo on nest quite awhile, but did not exhibit any signs of activity beneath him. We'll have to keep a close eye on Juliet for signs of activity beneath her or another good look @ eggs.

:rudired: Juliet just got up and pulled the front end of the nest bowl upwards. Rolled the eggs and nothing seen.
