Oh my, I am just hoping the one who brought the stick in was the handsome one l saw last eve. Came in, saw him fly in with the stick and didn't pay attention or try to identify who it was. Too excited as this is the first time I have even witnessed a stick being brought into the nest. Saw where earlier the mods were discussing if an eagle was male or female that had visited.

I am no expert but I do believe this is same male as last evening SWINK . I think everyone has their heads reeling . But he rooted in nest last night also and no other has done this, and he did it again this evening. and then brought in that stick.

I have other pictures later of him in black and white tonight and last night . will wait till I run cam off

Nice pics Bev....this looks like the same eagle that Loza caught on video this morning, but I do not think it is the one that was in the nest last night. It's missing that white breast patch, along with the deep notch along the front of the white neck fringe. I wonder if this is the eagle that was giving last nights male a bit of trouble. He does seem intent on nesting and like Swinwk pointed out, he is the 1st eagle to bring in nesting material. I suppose the best male will win over A2. She has lots of suitors. :15heartbeat:

A2 is sleeping in the nest tonight due to the wind.

Jan 24, 2019 HEAVY RAIN
An eagle spent the very rainy windy night in the nest.
I assume its Missy (A2)
If she lays 3 eggs, will they have 3 different daddies?
We'd never know

Its good to see a lot of eyes on this avian soap opera! :ohyes:

Heavy rain, lightning

bev, thanx for the tsunami of pics! :15heartbeat:

I saw that too!
FIRST sign I have seen of nest building.
I have seen both males and females mess around in it, but not contribute to it.

A2 has anchored herself to the rails and is getting wet from the rains. Mod said thunderstorms this morning, but sunshine this afternoon. On log it was reported from ground crew that yesterday afternoon, 3 eagles could be seen circling above with 2 of them being a bit aggressive toward one another. The 3rd eagle just circled the interaction. So far, I have not seen any photos of the male who brought the stick last eve.

The cam-op found him on a branch finally and then he flew to another branch. She is vocal with him occasionally, but he has nothing to say for himself this morning, just looking down toward his feet! :teehee:

With the pics above and my commentary, it becomes confusing as I was commenting independently of the pics being placed here. When I said he left a couple minutes ago, that is when he left the tree completely, shortly thereafter, what I didn't report was she flew from the nest to the Wallenda branch and that is A2 in last pic above on that branch. When I said that she flew, that was to indicate she had left the tree completely.
So, the "She departure, he no" pic titled above was her leaving the nest to fly to the Wallenda branch. He had already left the tree @ this point. And the next pics titled "He departure" are not of him, but of A2 on Wallenda branch, which she eventually flies off tree from.

An eagle spent the very rainy windy night in the nest.
I assume its Missy (A2)
3 am She is perched on nest edge. Last nite she was lying in it.

7 am At last 2 eagles sing the Dawn Song together - late!
She did some squeeing (wish she'd lose that)
He came, he sat, they left - silently
8 am Both gone

Thanks loza for pics n notes! :15heartbeat:
What a soap opera!

Rain letting up, both gone
