aka_AEF (Moderator): Good afternoon Hamlet family! At 3:00 we have a gorgeous day for eagle watching! Thank you for being here! Gabby arrives at the nest then flies to Sunset Branch where she is perched at 4:47. Samson arrives at 5:10 perches at the Wallenda Branch then flies to nest. Gabby is happy! Gabby flies at 5:14 and Samson flies to Wallenda Branch. Gabby arrives back at 5:29. A very quick mating on the Wallenda Branch.

This was added to above after I posted.

Samson flies at 5:52.

They are not spending the night on the nest tree. Maybe they are at the LY or the "tree by the lake" (the ground crew discovered them in this tree yesterday (I think) and they are wondering if this is where Gabby and/or Samson were spending their nights when MIA).

leigh_AEF (Moderator): The rain has started in the Hamlet. Gabrielle is still perched on the Sunset branch. She has vocalized to Samson a few times. I'm sure he can hear her wherever he is.

She's getting soaked now!

suncats_AEF (Moderator): 2:35 pm Samson flies into the nest with a fish with Gabrielle on his tail...she immediately cries out for the fish and takes it from Samson. He hops up to Sunset Branch at 2:38 pm

aka_AEF (Moderator): Good afternoon Hamlet family! Both Samson and Gabrielle are on the nest at 3:05. Samson flew at 3:09 and Gabby flew to the Sunset Branch where she is now perched. At 4:00 Gabrielle is still perched on the Sunset Branch preening and occasionally expressing vocals. Gabby flew away at 5:19.The ground crew reports neither Samson nor Gabrielle are at the lumber yard at 5:34. Of course that is subject to change at any time!

gretchen_AEF (Admin): SATURDAY TUCK-IN: Gabby flew from the nest as we were arriving for tuck tonight about 5:20pm. We searched the Hamlet area and waited for them to possibly arrive at the LY, but nada. Not sure where they are roosting tonight, but they will likely return to the nest bright and early in the morning. SED Y'all

otd_AEF (Moderator): Gabby arrive in the nest at 1:36. Her loud vocals announced the arrival of Samson at 1:38with a stick vs another fish....to her dismay. He flies off at 1:42 and she hops to the LOP at 1:43 with vocals, possibly letting Samson know her afternoon request for another fish.

She threw a screaming fit from Lookout Point and it worked!! Guess she saw him fishing and was just excited. The screaming was sustained, you should have heard it!! :teehee:

otd_AEF (Moderator): Samson listens to her rquest and arrives at 1:47 with food. He hops up to the Sunset branch at 1:49 and Gabby goes to the LOP at 1:52 having devoured her afternoon snack. He flies at 1:58, possibly to hunt again?

She made quick work of it and to Lookout Point to feak.

gretchen_AEF (Admin): SUNDAY TUCK-IN: Your ground crew was on duty tonight first checking the nest (only 2 deer on scene) and then off to the LY and the Hamlet area we went looking. We remained at the LY and then checked the trees behind the nest near the water where they were seen the other day, but nada. Vocals are heard in the near distance, so we are certain they are nearby and possibly will fly to the nest during the night, as they are sneaky Check in early, and they will likely be poking around in the nest. SED

She's been screaming and suddenly it stopped! I came back in and she was dragging a fish on the nest and now she has stopped and is eating it. Then Samson flies back to the nest with a stick and she is vocal. Don't worry Gabby, he doesn't want your fish, he's working on the nest.

Samson left the nest after they beaked and worked and went to a branch. She remained on the nest bowl for awhile, but recently went to a branch. At least they seem to be settling here for the overnight! He's on cam 1 and she's on cam 2.
