:15heartbeat: Oh no, loza! It does look as if the spent shell is over NE25's egg. Hoping it will come off during an egg roll ...

:15heartbeat: In addition to the broken eggshell over the egg, Gabby is getting a very slow, start on feeds. Most of her attempts have been from too far away or the bites were too big. The only feed that I scanned through today and felt that NE24 received bites for sure was at 3:03 pm where it easily had 4 bites, maybe 5. Her feeds reminded me of her 1st time new Mom feeds. NE24 seems to be just fine and hoping Gabby has a great day tomorrow or Samson feeds some. I think AEF will have their hands full at chat in the morning, but hoping they will acknowledge/address some things yet tonight.

Both here tonight, Samson currently on the nest at 22:50. I went through 12 hours of the feeds today and saw what I reported above. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:05 PM
MONDAY TUCK-IN: leigh_AEF has the scoop above. Samson is home with his family, and Gabby is battling mosquitos yet doing her motherly thing keeping her precious ones warm below. NE 24 hatched this morning at 3:10am (gestation: 39 days, pip to labor: 21.5 hrs). This little one has had 4 feedings and doing very well. We are on pip watch for NE25 (today gestation: 36 days). All eyes on the Hamlet! SED to our Hamlets and SED to all!

jd_AEF#3811 Today at 8:26 PM
Good evening! We have a shift change at 9:22 pm as Samson moves into the nest to take over Daddy duty. Gabby needed to do some preening and is over on the Wallenda branches.

jd_AEF#3811 Today at 11:16 PM
12:15 am we have a shift change as Samson hops to Wallenda and Gabby takes over caring for NE24 and NE25.

Feeding

Image

Good afternoon everyone! After a good feeding,
Gabby got NE24 all tucked in and rolls NE25 at 12:17 pm.
Shift change at 1:25 pm, Sam is home and is taking over.
Gabby returns at 1:29 pm with some greenery and puts it over the food.
Sam moves over to the Sunset branch at 1:31 pm and then takes off at 1:33 pm.
Gabby is currently in the nest.

NE25 curious about the world. NE 24 still in the cap - not good - may make hatching difficult

:1val: Broken shell remains over NE25 egg. Samson is on the tree tonight. The Tuck:

TUESDAY TUCK-IN: Samson is perched nest-side with his family tonight on the Wallenda and seen on Cam 3 (at this time)! As usual he was quite the provider delivering fish and being the best mate ever. NE24 is thriving and growing like crazy in less than 2 days. All eyes on the nest as we expect and are hopeful for NE25 to pip very soon! SED to all!

:1val: Mosquitoes are worrying Gabby again tonight. They got so heavy in the middle of the night last night when I came in, I only saw the egg and NE24 on the nest as Gabby had decided to take a break from the swarm for 11 minutes up on one of the branches, before returning to brood and incubate. It scared me initially as an adult wasn't on the nest and it's 3 something in the morning. The half shell remains over the unhatched egg. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Yesterday at 7:17 PM
WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: Peaceful day in the Hamlet today with mild temps and one fast-growing hatchling! Samson delivered a huge catfish and a leg/foot from a Great Blue Heron....not sure how that was captured, but leave it to Super Sam to be creative with the Hamlet cuisine. He is roosting on the Wallenda (Cam 2) sporting a huge crop. His mate is, too, falling asleep. What incredible parents these two are. They make our beloved Romeo and Juliet proud. SED to all

Gabrielle gets up to shake the water from her wings
and she catches NE24 on her foot causing Lil to do a somersault and flip over!
NE24 bounces right back as Gabby is flapping and shaking her wings!
In regular time and super slomo from cam 1 and the 4k! Eaglets are pretty resilient!!

Thank you for watching!

:15heartbeat: The mosquitoes are horrendous again tonight and worrying Gabby and even NE24 who for several minutes has been out from under Gabby. Both are trying to shake them off. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 9:16 PM
THURSDAY TUCK-IN: After Samson flew tonight, he wasn't seen. He is likely hiding in the nest tree or at the ET very close by. SED to our dear Hamlets and SED to all!
