:1val: I only see one on the branch tonight asleep with it's head tucked and I am assuming it is Gabby as she is not on the nest. NE24 is asleep on the nest.

Edit to add: I assumed wrong as it is Samson on the branch above and Gabby is on the tree, but hidden. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:57 PM
WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: Samson is fully tucked on cam 1, and NE24 is trying to get some zzz's on cam 2 snuggling with NE25 egg. Gabby is hard to see but currently hidden on cam 3. It appears the family is all fast asleep now. SED to our Hamlets and SED to YOU!

:1val: Samson is someplace a little different tonight ... on a nearby snag. Gabby is on a branch and Ne24 is asleep on the nest. Photo of Samson at site.

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:05 PM
THURSDAY TUCK-IN: When we left the nest tonight Samson was perched on a snag near the nest (photo below). He earlier flew right over us from the nest to the snag and was there when we left about 6:30pm. It was a beautiful day in the Hamlet today and will be tomorrow as well. Baby, NE24, has grown immensely thru all the varied food being fed and seems to snuggle with NE25 egg a lot. This little one is usually seen with a major crop. All is fine in the pine and living the life in the best nest! SED Y'all!

:loveheart2: Samson came to the tree at 6:45 and can be seen on cam 2 now at 12:30 am.

SATURDAY TUCK-IN: It was a beautiful day in the Hamlet today. Baby had several feedings and the pantry now needs re-stocking! Baby is fast asleep near the egg on Cam 1, and Samson & Gabby are preening on Cam 2. SED to our Hamlets and SED to everyone!

MONDAY TUCK-IN: A warm day in the Hamlet today and rain likely tomorrow! As I look at the cam, baby is stretching....oops (ps) saddled by the egg and showing off a sizeable crop. Mom and dad are perched close by and baby is looking up at them. It was a 3wk celebration today for NE24 showing encouraging signs. I believe NE24 is "NEFL Strong"! SED to our Hamlets and SED to all!

It's a windy night and Gabby came to the nest earlier and I hope she stays next to NE24 as she is now at 12:23 am through the night.

:15heartbeat: Read this on chat at another site. I have a lot of difficulty following this site since they have gone to Discord and feel as if I miss so much info. But, it seems they believe NE24 has "potentially" avian pox. They will not be treating.

From their FB:

American Eagle Foundation LIVE Nest Cams
February 28 at 9:35 AM ·
AEF-NEFL
AEF cam staff diligently monitors and inspects the adults and eaglets through the season. On February 20th, our volunteer staff noticed the appearance of two lesions on NE24, after consultation with our veterinary staff, we believe the eaglet is showing symptoms of a potential Avipoxvirus (also known as Avian pox) infection.
Avian Pox is common in warm, humid areas, and can be traced to seasonal mosquito increases.
Avian Pox can range from mild to severe. In mild to moderate cases, it can cause permanent scarring, with more severe cases, fatalities can occur.
The Northeast Florida (NEFL) Nest is a wild nest and infections such as Avian Pox can naturally take place. American Eagle Foundation policy, crafted in conjunction with USFWS guidelines, prohibits interference in a wild nest unless the situation can be directly linked to a man-made threat.
As always, viewer discretion is advised.

:1val: I do not see Samson tonight, but Gabby is on the nest with NE24. Here are the 6 names for AEF members only to vote on by 5pm EST on 3/5/21 for NE24: Uno, Scout, Kendi, Storm, Journey, Legacy. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:12 PM
TUESDAY TUCK-IN: It was a cooler day in the Hamlet today with a few sprinkles. Rain is likely tomorrow and cool temps again for our Hamlets. Super Sam delivered 4 or 5 fish! Baby is in a "crop coma" and doing well with momma by his/her side. Samson made a quick visit to the nest tonight and flew off. He's likely to return at any time. Baby Loves her/his NE25 egg

:1val: Samson and Gabby are both sleeping with their heads tucked on the nest tree. NE24 is in the same spot I always see it no matter when I check day or night and is also asleep. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:28 PM
WEDNESDAY TUCK-IN: Think we have the birthday girl, cyn_AEF, about tucked just like the Hamlets! It's a cool night tonight and tomorrow will be the same with no rain expected but sunshine in the afternoon with a high in the mid 60's. NE24 had some nice feedings today and is doing fine. SED to everyone!

:1val: All are asleep, Samson and Gabby on cam 2 and NE24 on the nest. Think the voting on NE24's name is over tomorrow at 5 pm, but unsure when the announcement will come. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 8:15 PM
THURSDAY TUCK-IN: Samson was perched right over us by the road and entrance to the nest at tuck tonight (photo below). He flew to the nest on schedule about 6:45pm. Both Samson and Gabrielle are perched on cam 2 while NE24 is flat as a pancake asleep on cam 1 next to NE25 egg. Oops baby just arose and looking up at mom and dad (crop leading the way LOL). It was a great day in the Hamlet. SED to our precious Hamlet family and SED to everyone!

:loveheart2: All are home tonight. Samson can be seen on cam 2 and he is currently sleeping with his head tucked. Gabby was with Samson on the branch earlier this evening, but she went down to be with NE24 on the nest. She is asleep with her head tucked and NE24 sleeping with it's head planted on the nest floor. The naming contest is over, but I have not seen any announcements as yet.

:1val: Samson is not home tonight. Gabby is on the nest with NE24 and having a bad feather day in the rain and wind, but determined to shield NE24 as best she can tonight. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 9:52 PM
SATURDAY TUCK-IN: Weather in the Hamlet is chilly, windy and wet! Our sweet baby is cozy by mom. What a mom, Gabby is! Samson must have chosen a more protected spot tonight. Can't blame him! More rain is on the way and tomorrow looks sketchy. SED sweet Hamlets and SED to YOU too!

:1val: All home and asleep for now at 23:03. Samson is on a branch and Gabby is on the nest with NE24 who is to receive a name at noon tomorrow. The Tuck:

gretchen_AEF#1945 Today at 7:35 PM
SUNDAY TUCK-IN: The gang's all home! Mom and dad are perched and tucked on cam 2 while their baby is asleep next to "her" egg on cam 1. Still a bit windy and will likely continue into tomorrow, but lots of sunshine in store for Monday. NE24's name to be announced tomorrow at noon! Stay tuned!! SED to all Mom just jumped down into the nest and rolled "baby's egg" and to cuddle with both.

:15heartbeat: NE 24 has been named "Legacy". From what I remember of the reason given when 1st submitted, this was to be in honor of Romeo and Juliet for sure and possibly Samson and Delilah, but not sure on that part. She is thriving, so hopefully her previously reported "avian pox" is a mild case. I don't know her sex, but always dislike to use the word "it".
