Hi bev - good to see your name! :7snowflake:

The eaglets are shedding those blue things -
- are they their feather sheaths?

E20 is seen nibbling on a piece a fish while E19 stands up and does some nice wingers. Very soon we will see them wingercising on the nest and hitting one another with those ever growing wings! E20 goes back to the fish and soon grasps with it with both talons and starts to pull on the fish getting bites! Congratulations on self feeding E20 at 38 days old! I had a feeling that E20 would be the first to actually self feed! It is an important milestone in their development towards independence! Soon they will be mantling and stealing prey from one another and engaging in tug o war with Harriet! Well done E20!! Thank you for watching!

Thank you SWFEC , hosted by Dick Pritchett Real Estate, for allowing us the opportunity to view these amazing eagles.

:girlsad3: Cams are down, but they are working on it. The cam op is giving updates, so far no fledge reported.

Mar 20, 9:35 AM
Essec09 (Admin): Morning SWFEC. The cameras went offline this morning at 8:21am. The camera owners were notified and are trouble shooting. Eaglets have been spending most of their time on the attic and outer attic. No fledge yet. Hoping the cameras are back online soon. Thank you for your patience. (No food deliveries this morning, Harriet did bring an air plant.

:10sum: Of all times for the cams to be down ... E19 fledged this morning!! From SWFL:

"E19 Fledged 3/20 at 11:57am"

And later this message:

Mar 20, 1:04 PM
Essec09 (Admin): Update on the cameras: they will most likely not be online until tomorrow. Our group will do our best to provide updates. We all wish E19 safe travels as s/he explore the area.

Edit to add: E19 did return to the nest today per cam op, but I do not know when as of 8:00 pm.

:5val: I'm still not sure when E19 made it back to the nest after fledging, but I noticed they said earlier that both E19 and E20 had made it back to the nest and didn't understand why they were referencing E20, now I do. E20 fell below the nest earlier today @ 1:19 pm and I mean below the nest as in a "hidey hole" directly under the nest, but still in the tree. They thought he would have to fledge to be able to get out, but it turns out that it was not necessary, so E20 has yet to fledge. Below are 2 very candid videos that Lady Hawk posted that were done on site by Marie Lapointe-Chism:

E19 fledges, returns right away with bad landing, hangs upside down, drops away and flies out, then grounds. (Right before the fledge, in her joy and excitement she misspeaks the ID's, but it is E19 that fledged.)

E20 falls below the nest.

Update March 20th 2022 6:36 PM: E20 has worked their way back to the attic, by flying to and climbing up the outer branch!! Yay!! E19 is also back in the nest tree! Both E's are now back in the nest!!.

Edit to add: Finally found out when E19 returned from her fledge and how long she was away within their chat this morning on 3/21/22:

Mar 21, 8:48 AM
Essec09: 2021/22 eaglet E19 branched Friday, March 4, 2022 at 9:31:46am (day 67 - 66 days, 20 hours, 48 minutes and 42 seconds); fledged on March 20, 2022 at 11:57:00am (day 83, 16 days after branching); returned to the nest on March 20, 2022 at 7:05pm (7 hrs, 8 minutes).
