:7val: I think M15 saw his egg at 0354 for the 1st time. At the end of the 0351 minute Harriet is already standing over her egg and she begins alerting. M15 drops down into the nest at 0353 and gets next to her. She finally steps away and he sees his egg. She went up on the veranda to preen and he slowly rotated over his egg aerating and moving fluff near it as he went. Finally, he lies on his egg! :5val: Unable to get in the mod notes at this time for verification.

Edit to add at 4:50 pm: Saw a video that confirms the above time is correct that M15 sees his egg for the 1st time!

:taz: Just saw on FB, there was an owl attack during the night on M15 at 2:31 or 2:32 am I believe. I noticed him landing on the nest abruptly near this time and had heard some alerts, but did not see the event when I went back on the DVR earlier this morning. Just goes to show how much you actually miss when scanning the DVR! They have a video of the event. I no longer post links or on "Breaking News", but it should be easy to find if you want to see. I just hate ... the owls are still around!! :taz:

:15heartbeat: The last close up I saw of M15 he was asleep and currently he is on the attic. Harriet is standing on the nest with her egg between her feet!

:1val: No owl attacks last night! At 1:05, the mod could hear a dog barking and M15 left his post to do a fly about the pasture while Harriet was on alert. The usual comings and goings from the nest this morning and with a mating. I think it is M15 currently on the egg with his back to us. Egg watch for #2 today and tomorrow!

:buzzybee: Now something seems to be wrong with the pond cam (in addition to the IR) as it stops at 8:56:03 pm, but before it stops, you can see M15 leave the outer attic at 8:55 and fly to the right and out of screen, then within the minute a large bird flies from the right of screen and out of sight to the left and I believe it is M15. Not to worry if she lays another egg through the night and steps away you can see the white of the egg without the IR. Harriet is currently on the egg.

:15heartbeat: Harriet spent the rainy night on the nest without any owl visits and M15 came back at 5:42 this morning per mods. They also reported M15 brought in 5 fish and lots of fluff yesterday and when she was busy eating he was lying on his egg!! They have taken many photos of the egg and it's particular markings to help identify it from any other egg that follows in the future. Second egg should come later today!! Harriet is currently on the egg.

I've been watching off and on and no sign of egg #2. According to chat M has been on the nest for a LONG time - over 2 hours. :flirty:
