Liberty's Wins the Battle in the Nest

Liberty is in the nest working on a fish when another adult eagle(#4) flies into the nest and attempts to join Liberty in her meal. Liberty has other ideas and she runs the other eagle right out of the nest!

Liberty & Eagle #4~Calling All Eagles!

Liberty is perched on Family Tree when Eagle #4 flies in and lands by her. The two begin calling back and forth. We are not sure if this new eagle is courting Liberty in her mate of 8 years, Patriot's absence?

Much to everyone sadness ... it appears that Patriot is dead. There was an ariel battle between 2 eagles ...followed by one of them plumeting to the the ground and dying. Terri (mseaglewoman, I believe) was allowed to view the eagle. Her pictures (be aware, they are of a dead eagle) are posted on the Hancock forum beginning on this page ... http://www.hancockwildlife.org/forum/vi ... 8&page=206
