And we think there is definitely a second egg!! JudyB caught a pic today where you can see the chick and another egg ... and we know it's not shell because you could clearly see them remove the shell in the video yesterday! :)

this just warms my heart after so many bad years and last year, little one was neglected a lot.

So far, so good bev!! Lots of feedings today with both chicks getting plenty ... although no sign of fish. We think they brought in a dead fox a couple days ago. Lots of pics on the WOW forum though! :)

April 26, 2013: I think Dad left the nest and Mom flew in to feed the chicks.

First Egg: March 14, 2013
Second Egg: March 17, 2013 (?)

First Hatch: April 19, 2013
Second Hatch: April 23, 2013

Maine Bald Eagle Nest
Biodiversity Research Institute

NB: video stabilized (the wind was fierce) so frame seems to move instead of the nest moving

The WOW forum ran a poll (for their own fun!) to name the eaglets. Older one is Willow and the younger one is Moxie! :loveshow:

Willow has gotten aggressive towards Moxie due to the bad stretch of weather and lack of food. Pray for sunshine and lots of food!!!
