That was a nice picture kitten .... things aren't going too well today. Folks on WOW have been watching closely. Parents aren't bringing food (just like last year) and when they do Willow gets it all and attacks Moxie. :gaaaaah:

I am so sorry to read this...I had been trying to follow this situation, but it just broke my heart...I swear, this nest is jinxed... :tissue:

Did they even consider supplementing food here? Or was it just a losing battle and would just prolong the inevitable...

I remember the food supply issue last year.
but I cannot figure out why not enough food, so close to water. So very sad.
they both looked healthy

Some tend to get upset with aggressive one but is unfortunately is survival instinct. hopefully this one wil be O.K.

Since 2007 , there just has not been too much luck.

We've been discussing food supply issues at length on WOW. We see no reason for it.

The exact same thing happened last year at just about the same time!! That is what is so strange. All of a sudden the adults just seem to stop bringing in enough food ... and/or feeding the eaglets. Sometimes they drop food and leave. The adults seemed to be doing better this year, especially the female ... then all of a sudden it's like somebody turned off her switch. :think

It seems as though once Mom leaves the nest in the morning - neither one of the adults comes back until late afternoon.

bev I just don't know I can't get the cam half the time. When I do get a peek its not to much, that video I posted was the only one I have caught.

Bev ... it truly seems like a repeat of last year. The adults seemed to do better at first ... then, just like last year ... they stop bringing food, the little one dies .. and then the remaining eaglet waits and waits for food deliveries each day.

She is getting fed ... but not enough in my opinion. The WOW forum keeps track every day.
