:cryinggirl: Have not been on lately, but checked back to see any postings for this topic and did not find any, so sorry if it is a repeat... but, I checked on the Leesville, NC Barred Owls and he has posted a note that back on week of 2/28, while listening to the returning pair of Barred Owls, Mom & Papa, he heard gunshots and from that point on did not hear or see Papa. Unless Mom finds a new mate, and even if she does, they may still go to another territory, there will not be any cam on the Leesvilole, NC Barred Owls this year at least. So sad to hear this, especially now when people are SUPPOSED to be getting educated regarding lawful hunting, and NON lawful hunting, sporting or whatever/and Wildlife, particularly with raptors. Bald Eagles and Golden Eagles are being shot in an increasing number the past year. Now our beloved Barred Owls?????? :furious: Are people getting stupid-er and stupid-er or WHAT???!!

Sorry if this is a repeat, but I wanted to be sure all knew about our beloved Papa.

Wallace telling Gromit he's just too little yet for the perch. Gromit mad as a hornet and trying to fly his way out.

Thanks for the video of the young Tawnies!

I just found out that the "Klaara und Klaus" - the Estonian Tawny Owls - have hatchlings:

Video by Looduskalender forummember Fleur.

It seems 3 of the 5 eggs have hatched!
