Hi Bev, I am watching them also. It really is not all that hot in Buffalo today. It's lovely with a soft breeze. I know this has been brought up before - the panting here at Buffalo........ The babies panting like that worries me and of course the parents as well.

It's a very comfortable 70!

IO knew there had been an issue before. has it ever been looked into. Is there a heating duct there

We go through this every year with this "heat" issue. They allegedly added insulation and redesigned the box. I'd have to go back to see how the box changed, but I think they moved the back forward and we (well, not we...LOL) lost some of the "porch" in the process.

After what happened a few years ago I've been on high alert about the "heat issue." Sorry........ when I saw the babies panting this morning it just didn't seem right. They are fine right now......

Hi Buffalo Falcon watchers! The UB birds pant because the sun hits this nestbox hard and even at 70 degrees, with the sun beating down on the birds, it's hot!

The Statler box is set back farther so the eyasses don't get the harsh sun.

The UB eyasses will be banded this week but I think we know it's one girl, one boy! Or a big surprise!
