i have yet another video o f him. I watched him fly in , on my tape and he landed and went right to eggs. I looked again just above the talons and it is an abrasion, probably form the way he goes to eggs. But he is doing so well.
will post other one of him leaving adn coming in again later. cam froze for the the last out.

actually, I have just got home and I am some impressed with Yankee. I played back my recording. he has been in 3 times to take over and one time he came in with bloody talon. not from being hurt, fresh prey talon blood. the last time he just came up and stood on ledge with one foot ,( no bloody talons) looked in and then flew off and around and I watched him fly up to ledge an d hop on one leg and just snuggle into corner.
I have to go to other computer to pull 2 pictures, bu t he can maneuver in nest etc. and man can he fly. his injured leg /talons look better today.

I just cannot pull all video off to show you. So trust me when I say, I am so impressed with him. ( that is why I am recording, so I can watch him. )

yeah yankee :loveshow: :loveshow:

here are 2 pictures from just a bit ago, when he came back to nest box and looked in and then flew off and around and up to ledge and then hopped over by box and snuggled in.

I am puzzled also. even with sun shining, it should not be that hot yet, to cause panting.
what will they do when real heat comes??????
edit: wondering, when i look at cam overhead, could that be transferring heat form sun????

At work but looking when I can. I've often wondered same about transfer of heat from light..... It doesn't make sense......

Dixie seems to sense his distress! I noticed how she lets him rest......
They are amazing team.....

:15heartbeat:

What I meant above was it doesn't make sense to me on day like today which is quite chilly that Yankee was panting. Strange!!!
