Looks like DC has something to eat... Good...

I know everyone is worried about him, but it was so wonderful to hear and see him...

he can perch and land and that is important. so rest is what Doctor ordered.

and I have been thinking about P. She may have been hunting and just staying clear till it was safe. these falcons are smart. I do not think she would leave DC. and we also do not know who was fighting today. Maybe she had some of her own problems.

B has food for both of them.

Sleepy boy. One of the watchers on stream noticed he might be favoring his left foot, I noticed he had it tucked up earlier in the first visit and though it odd as he doesn't usually do that when he's at the nest box. He obviously hunted so maybe just sore from fight.

As you mention that Carly, with other stuff going on with me today, I didn't really look at pictures of UT2 until later this afternoon. I noticed he appears to have a cut on his left talon when he visited the NB this morning.

Here's the picture..

ETA: From Hi Def picture, here's the cut/puncture on left talon:

Didn't notice that either mw! I guess we were all so worried and nervous, those little details slipped by us. I do hope he's okay and safe somewhere...just not here at this time.

I saw the posts earlier, but didn't really "look" at the pictures. I wanted to see what he looked like and that when I looked at archives and saw it.

Let me tell you... in my heart, I am SO happy that DC is home..

I want him to stay safe tonight. I was hoping he would tuck in DT, so that if other guy shows up, both he and B can run him off...

DC looks great to me today. They had a great bonding session. Looks like both ate... great end to the day.

Got to say, I'm a little, well, a lot on edge, and hope the same!

I would just like to watch plain incubation now. it will not be boring after this.

I also want to thank all the boots on ground and offices, that kept track the last 2 days.

when I asked them to please keep watching for DC, no criticism intended. Just nervous nilly here, but from my posts, you know , I just felt in my heart, he was O.k.

With my season just at its start, I am exhausted already

Sweet dreams DC, B, and P and everyone here. tomorrow will be a great day :loveshow:

When I look at his picture in Hi Def, I see what looks like an abrasion on his upper right wing.

Here's the link to Rfalconcam archives.

If it doesn't open up to the photo, you have to use the drop down menus to select May 17 8:28PM, Main Cam. Once you see the picture, click on it and a HI Def version will launch in a new window.

Here's the low resolution image:

I've cut the piece I'm looking at on the Hi Def version:

Is this normal?

:loveshow: It's such wonderful news to hear that DC is back! It was especially good seeing him give Beauty a break from egg-sitting yesterday, and to hear this morning that he was able to catch breakfast - all signs that he's recovering well from his encounters with UT and UT2.

I just about cried when I saw that beautiful picture of handsome DC sitting so majestically on the edge of the nest box yesterday.

whatever falcon is coming in , he may have had a mate that kept P on her toes.

I am sure all will be well now.

it will take a few days for them to settle down. they always need to be on alert.
but for now they are back to normal, and we hope this continues

I am out but will check back

I was thinking DC was coming in for a shift.

It's so nice to hear her chup like this. And honestly, she was not accepting that other male. I'm still so impressed with how she stood her ground and waited for DC.

They may have rocky starts, but they work it out and I think compliment each other well.

Not saying anything is wrong, but do you notice how he's holding his right wing down? That's the same wing with what looks like an abrasion. Would also correspond to the drop of blood we saw under his right nostril the other day...

They both seem to be on high alert lately... which I DON'T blame them for. After the turmoil they went through, I'm sure both are taking NO chances...
