What great news about Orange's flying this afternoon, especially being able to stick a landing on a railing. And then to fly from the Nemours Building to the WT Building and land right next to dad (and the food, of course). What a gal she is!

:bravo Bravo to Orange for her excellent flying skills. And bravo to Kim for her dedication in keeping watch over the kids for 7 straight days, first in the cold, the wind, and the rain . . . and then in the heat and the blazing sun!

Glad to hear all 4 kids are doing well & that Orange is already flying like a pro! (Have to make sure Craig know about that--he'll probably say its from good upbringing!) :teehee:

Hugs to all the watchers for the terrible weather conditions they have faced in order to try to keep these kids safe!

I am thrilled that Orange did a good job with her first flights after her rescue early this morning. I am totally from fledge watch in Harrisburg, but want to express my sincere gratitude to ALL the watchers in Wilmington, and especially to Kim and her tremendous devotion to the falcons.

Kim, I wished I could do more. But I was so glad to help the small way that I did. It has been a very difficult year for temps. Cold To Heat!! Who would have thought the extreme changes in such a short amount of time. Well, the Falcon's are healthy and flying well, and that is what it is all about!!

As I have said many times, Our Greatest Gratitude to you Kim for it all!! And to Craig who made it possible for #4 Orange Girl to fly the skies like a Falcon should. It makes your Heart Swell with Joy!

Lil Man, yellow, has fledged in Harrisburg. Was around the column and flew to the uni. Now he's in the balcony above the ledge. Not sure if he has to be rescued out of there or not but what's being posted he will need to be rescued. :dancingegg:

According to the watchers, Yellow Boy made it back to the balcony above the nest ledge within 4 minutes of leaving the ledge. Quite a record setter! :flirty:

He's the Lil Man!!! Can't wait to see him in action. Hope all four are still doing well here. I was through the city a while ago, but of course didn't see anything! Glad they are flying and can get to a shaded spot.

Just thinking how busy the parents are getting food to the four of them.

I stopped up on the garage roof at 4:30 pm EDT (about an hour and a half ago) and saw three peregrines on Brandywine Building ledges: a larger one and a smaller one on the ledge under the box, and another smaller one four ledges to the left (three ledges to the right of the left corner of the building). At first I thought that the large one and the one on the left were the parents (their backs looked grayish), but then decided that all three were kids, the two boys and one of the girls. They all had cream colored faces where the adults have brighter white. Plus we know that White likes to hang with his sisters. Red Girl and the new dude are probably out hunting for the kids, but I don't think that either parent wants to hang out for long on the same ledge with a kid.

Thanks for the update Greg! A couple people will be stopping by later to do a head count so I'll post once I find out.

I almost forgot about this video I recorded earlier. The new guy actually works on a scrape at the end of this video!

Thanks Greg for the eyes on report. So happy to hear of their success.

Kim, the "new guy" finally has time to get familiar with the nest box now that it isn't occupied!

By the way, I am still wondering when the DOS Gala on the Roof Top, is happening. Mainly because they are going to vote on a name for the new male, I thought. Now maybe I am wrong about this, but that is what I heard.

Great video. Great to see him in the box. This makes me wonder about something. I know I said that you could tell this guy from CJ because CJ's feet and cere were deeper yellow, but this guy's feet look pretty deep yellow to me in the video. So, if you can't see whether the legs are banded or not in a photo, I think that the best mark is the cheek behind the malar bar: the new guy has a lot of white like Red Girl; CJ had much less white (darker). So the new guy was here by mid April. Some photos in this forum suggest to me that CJ may still have been around in March.
