I have seen some long periods the last few days with no egg coverage (30+ minutes) which is clearly because only Hera is incubating. I assume this happened last year so everything will be fine.

this happened at Edmonton last year. Radisson was sole incubator till almost hatch. Gord had considered taking them out and putting dummies till hatch, but we trusted Radisson. and 3 hatched.

so I guess it is consistency and keeping eggs at their temperature, turning etc. Radisson had to get her food also for quite a while

An d so we wait , like at so many :girlcrazy: :girlcrazy:

Mintaka was incubating....Hera was eating down on the ledge...just barely visible in the pics... at the top part of pics...

I just had to laugh when I saw it...I don't know what he was doing..he wasn't eating...but his little head kept popping up and down..took a few minutes to get that much of his head...

He is doing that all day long sgb. It's really cute. I think he's just not quite sure what to do. Glad to hear he was incubating. Maybe he is starting to get the hang of it.
