Have a great time Kris & please say "Hello & Thank You" to all the watchers. Now that we can't see the kids on screen, I'm totally lost. My day feels somewhat empty... Their Twitter updates are truly appreciated and welcomed!

I certainly will! I feel sad too whenever I look at the empty nest box-it's been a long season that I hated to see end. I'm just happy they're doing so well and hope they continue to. Kudos to both Beauty and DC for a job well done!

It was a fun day yesterday but so hot for all including our Peregrine family. There were about 40 of us that got to enjoy some good food and conversation and our Falcons did come out for a few flights to entertain us. We got to see all three fledglings flying together a few times, 2 of them chasing each other that was fun to watch and a couple Pefas started out circling low right over our heads then higher and higher until it was hard to see them. Most of the time though, they were just laying low on building tops as the temperatures rose with an occasional flight out and back. We did see a couple missed landings but for the most part, they are flying and landing pretty good! By early afternoon, the heat was too much for me so Bill and I headed home. MAK posted a great picture album of people who were there with names so if anyone is interested, here's the link:

What fun to see everybody again and we even had a few new faces attend this year. It was great when people walked by, stopped, asked what we were looking at and seeing them watch the Falcons flying. So many people and businesses that aren't even aware that the Falcons are in Rochester! We have a young boy who has really taken to the Falcons and he came with his dad and young sister. Tim and his wife, Lynda, come from the Finger Lakes area every year loaded with "tattoos" (stickers) that they put on everyone. The kids had a ball with those as you can see! It's wonderful seeing the young ones showing an interest in the Falcons and hopefully they become our future watchers!

Beauty came to the box for a visit. She was in the box, then sunbathing right outside it.

Glad you enjoyed! They put a lot of work into long hours downtown then writing these reports and it sure keeps us out-of-towners in the loop!
