Tweets from MAK this morning indicate B & DC were seen downtown together and Pigott and the unbanded tiercel were seen at BS location.

I was looking through the archives and it seems DC migrated after 11/9 in 2012. The unbanded tiercel appeared at BS around 11/23 (BST).

2012 report from Carol: . Scroll down to 11/23 report and you will see pictures of him.

The fact that we have DC still in town (and if his pattern holds, for at least another month), and now an unbanded tiercel at BS (at least a month+ earlier than 2012), this REALLY is an interesting development.

I just hope things remain calm and all 4 stay safe.

:thanku

I know a lot can change between now and 2014 nesting season, but I sure do hope Pigott gets the undivided attention of this unbanded male...and that Beauty and DC stay "tight"....it sure would be nice if these males would winter here....

Thing is we don't know if November was his usual migrating time or was it because Orion was a late fledgling? I just find it very interesting that DC isn't trying to chase this guy out or did this guy chase DC off? It just seems odd but it would be nice if it stayed this way, with no battles!

That's a good point Kris. Never took that into consideration. I agree... No Battles! :leafok:

My wishes are the same as those expressed by the rest of you. I would like to see Pigott have a mate dedicated only to her & Beauty & DC continue as mates. :leafrock:

This morning, B & DC have been seen together, and P & UT are together at BS.

And as of 9:47am ET, both B & DC are on the FCT. I think they had a quick bonding session (right side of picture, grey part of tower):

I have to say, it seems DC has been spending much more time with Beauty during the "off season" than last year, and most of the tweets from watchers indicate these two are normally on the same building together. Very nice!

And I think Beauty just flew off at 9:51AM. And DC followed several seconds later.

Thanks, mwplay! I like hearing that, especially since Pigott has someone else to keep her company! :loveshow:

What fantastic news....and great info to post on the Peregrine Place FB page...I know they follow the CT nest...

Here's a 10/8 pic of Gleig from their FB page!!

Also, a pic of a juvie reported in Genesee Birding (not sure what that is..magazine? newsletter)-9/19...wouldn't it be something if it was Billy!!! Not knowing the area being referenced....but ya never know..

This pic isn't Billy, SGB. It was taken by Sage at the Montezuma NWR, near Syracuse, NY, and is thought to be a banded juvie that was hatched at an undisclosed (for security reasons) nest site area near Rochester.

MAK's AM report:

As of tonight, UT/Pigott were both seen just before dark at BS and Beauty/DC were both seen DT. DC hasn't been seen by watchers at BS since UT has been with Pigott, which we are finding very interesting. :hall7:
