I would think (& that's just my mind working) that a nestbox could be installed in the area where the building is, like even across the street, but of course someplace high. It would be like what was done for Mariah after her nestbox on Kodak was blocked off--that being the installing the current nestbox as well as a couple of others in that same area. The ideal thing would be to put one where they want to make a nest, but if that isn't possible, then find a "good" location nearby. Heck, give Pigott a nestbox just like Beauty's--she's already got the tiercel, she just needs a nestbox now!

Thanks for the great coverage, everyone, and for the link to MAK's report...These Rochester watchers are just the best and so dedicated!!! Like others have said, I do believe this has got to be Pigott who has mounted this challenge otherwise I would think, at one point over the past several days, somebody might see 4 falcons in the sky.

Poor Pigott..if she only had a secure nest box, maybe she wouldn't feel like she needed to challenge Beauty for hers? I guess there are no easy answers!!!

Fingers crossed that they are done with this...

:agree: :agree: I don't know what kind of hoops have to be jumped through, but this seems like a fair solution.

they are both pretty tired after yesterday. Maybe they have called a truce. And then we are not sure if it was P. She has been missing before.

but hope they both check out O.K.

out to vets.
My Harley seems to have hurt himself. Have to leave Sebi at home and he will not be happy.

Thanks for all the reports. It sounds as if today was much quieter - with much less drama - than yesterday.

I just hope that none of the falcons were injured from all the fighting that went on and that peace (or at least a truce) can be achieved.

Thanks for the updates everyone & thanks Carly for the link to Dana's photos! You're right, these are tough ladies. I probably would have had a nervous breakdown having to watch that for hours, not to mention I'm a big baby when it comes to the cold!
